My dad had an 05, so I was making reference to that body style by just calling it the 05. Upon investigating, it appears 2006 had the same body style, and so didn't a portion of the 2007's. That just shows that not only are the previous generations better looking, they're just better all around!!! Better quality sheet metals, better drive trains, stronger frames, and much more reliable than any of the new garbage.

Niko Z Cummins and ih Cummins had a little bit more power the ih engines had less Ford in the big trucks used the same strength motors in medium duty as they didn't have to have much to just fucking torque and Ford used the same brands as gm in semis even gm engines

I would they are becoming pretty popular. IMO, lot of guys want them nowadays for Turbo Builds etc. And it being an 80, that is rare. they only used that engine in the Squares 78-80. Extremely rare now

I'm far from a fan of the 6.2 but it's far from junk. It's not built as heavy duty and had less power than the 6.9 International Harvester engine used in Ford Trucks back in the early 80's but the 6.2 is still a very reliable engine.

If you know about the engine and take care of it, then it’ll be a great engine

Can't tune a 12 valve from the cab. And there's 2 different injection pumps that came on 12 valves. Nothing really wrong with the VE pumps, they're just the most limited on how much power you can get out of one. If you've got a 94-98 truck with the P7100 on it, you're more likely to be limited by money than by the injection pump.

I’m a 24 valve fan simply because I do a lot of different things with my truck and enjoy the ability to tune my truck for max mileage depending on what the given use of my truck is at the time . I work for the union running heavy equipment so my 02 dodge does the job for me no matter what I’m doing . If I’m towing my 14 thousand pound fifth wheel across state lines to the next job or just jetting home to be with the family for the weekend it does the job better than a new truck but that’s partly because I trust it and know I can work on it . That being said I love p pump 12 valves more than anything . It really just depends on what’s realistic for your needs .i myself can’t justify spending 80 grand on a pickup when mine does the job . Btw I set my cruse at 82 on flat ground with my fifth wheel and don’t see over 1100 on my egt gauge on an incline 24v for the win !!! P.S I might have too much money into my truck shit .
