Sorry, no, we don't assume this and high time everyone learned that when humans "make excuses" then they have a genuine problem that isn't seen or heard or acceptable to have. Even during our period we are responsible for our behavior and our words and actions still hurt those around us. As a woman I personally have learnt to try control my hormone induced emotions. Difficult? Yes, doable? Yes. I'm a Christian and the Bible says do not anger, do not rage, be kind etc. One lady pointed out that the Bible doesn't give us a free pass during our period. We are expected to ALWAYS have self control. I now try practice self control over that time. I also pray leading up to that time for self control. It has helped a lot, I still slip up but it's getting easier as I go along.
It's correct that you're not allowed to mistreat others during your period. However, that doesn't mean you're not allowed to have emotions. It's unhealthy to hide emotions for a long time.
1) anger is as valid of an emotion as any other and needs space to be there. 2) Yes, we are accountable but women on periods also don't get angry about having periods, silly. They are angry about the sexism they experience during periods and that's very valid to answer with anger as it's not acceptable and abusive!
@@aschmidtbrille I agree with you. I think it's important to acknowledge and deal with your emotions in a healthy manner. E.g. If you are upset at someone you can discuss it with them calmly but don't scream at them. Also maybe take some time to calm down, understand what you are feeling, why you are feeling it and also ask yourself if you are overreacting and whether you are upset at the right person or if the feelings are misdirected.

@@Rjbunnie_ symptoms can depend on the person. some can experience it heavily while other is mildly. i personally dont really have a change in my mood when i get my period unlike other people.

Note, the pain that is cause by that time of the month, looks to be self inflicted due to dietary choices. If you watch Vegan stories, they mention they don't have it. If you watch people on the standard diet or modern diet (High Carb), they mention the pain. If you watch the Carnivore space, they mention its less severe and more manageable. Do note, when people say we have always eaten like this, they only go back a short period of time. Please go further back in time to see how Human's Eat, because it looks like we domesticated ourselves on meat base, while plants were for survival or recreational usage.
To some extent this is true (ex. How caffeine is terrible for period cramps) but it's definitely not just diet-based. My diet doesn't generally change much month-month and yet sometimes I'll have no pain at all and sometimes the pain is so bad that I literally throw up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's also person-dependant, bc my mom almost never had period cramps and her diet is way worse than mine. So to say it's a dietary thing comes off as.. uninformed.

For me, I don't get angry, but I do get like super sad and always feel like to cry and stuff that can't be helped sometimes, Ik you're supposed to control your anger but for someone already has anger issues it's a little hard to control the all of a sudden type of anger, I mean even murders are forgiven if it's proven to be sudden anger, besides this is completely biological, not some myth. and for godsake stop treating it like that. let me explain. when an egg is released hormone levels get incredibly high and that makes you happy and positive but when it doesn't get fertilized (Idk if this is the right word btw), the hormone levels drop like crazy and then you get your period. being sad or mood swings occur bc of that sudden drop of Estradiol and Progesterone (the hormones I mentioned before). What "facts"? Women are told not to complain when on their period CONSTANTLY. They are understandably fed up with this because it fucking hurts, and the pain isn't even the worst part of it all. All we want is a little understanding. I don't get what's so hard about that.
Not only it can hurt like hell (way before I even got really sick, in two different occasions, it hurt so much that I could only *crawl* to the bed), most of the time they are also not allowed to take their time off and expected to go on the day like they never have any pain at all (for me, it up to 6, with 10 being equivalent to labour pain).

I am 56 years old, and truth be told a woman can control her outbursts, irritations, maybe not the cravings so much 😂😂. A woman can have her periods without anyone knowing about it. It takes self control and a lot of it believe me, but she can do it
