Well here's the problem with prisms, they don't have any mercy unlike the other shards. So they have straightforward, raw RNG similar to soulstones. On the upside for the trade-off, you have a much smaller and focused roster pool. So you have higher chances of getting specific champions if in the event of you pulling any legendaries. And yeah, the roster amount does fluctuate and change. And so does the summon value as well. Each prism event has a different layout.
Excellent points! A few peeps have pointed out the lack of mercy system, which regrettably I forgot to mention. Because the mercy for sacreds is so bad (I’ve gone over 25 w/o getting a leggo before, think it caps around 50) I didn’t think it worth focusing on, though did mean to mention. But comments here really show how bad it can get without one. And yeah the roster changing is certainly impactful on the value of things. Good points!
@@DeadwoodJedi Understood, of course. And then there are the days when you pull a legendary off of a sacred, and another almost immediately after if not back-to-back. Sometimes I question the value of mercy over just the pure luck and RNG on Raid accounts at times.
@@DeadwoodJediDon't know if my math is correct but with Prism shards, your odds of pulling NO legendaries in 30 pull is 11%, and for that massive % alone it's insanely bad odds. With Sacreds at least you have 2x and 1+1 AND on top of that mercy for us unlucky ones. Also not that it matters when you're a decent spender but sacreds are collectible, you can hoard them. You can't do that with prisms.
@@RtdXyron Actually you can, sort of. If you don't claim prisms from events during a prism week, it doesn't use them for you and puts those prisms into your inbox. So you can have extra summons the following prism summon week.
The pool changes quite a bit, this is the largest pool I've seen for prism shards, usually you get 6-8 Legendary characters available not 14. Thanks for the content DWJ (prices have shifted back and forth from 20, 80, 30, 60, 40, 25, 30.)
They both suck because I always pull the same old champs, almost like they rig your account with specific champs you'll always get. I never get "new" epics out of sacred shards, just the same old 3-4 year old champs like Skull Crusher and Tayrel, etc. With the prism shards I wind up pulling a ton of dupes. I think I had 4 on the last event and I needed one of the epics in the pool to finish the mythic fusion, pulled 3 Tayrels(2 in a row) and a Royal Guard. With all the champs in the game now it's just baffling how my account seems to pull the exact same old duplicates event after event.
Congratulations again Deadwood on pulling Teodore. I just pulled him too alone with Prince Kymar back-to-back! And dupes of both Elva Autumnborn and Bad-El to push my faction guardians, along with all of my remaining epics needed to finish the Lady Mikage fusion! Good gawd, I'm on cloud 9...
Congrats on pulling Teo, he's a beast. I do want to point out one thing you overlooked about prism shards though. Unlike sacred shards, they do not have a mercy system. You could literally pull thousands of shards and not ever get a legendry, let alone one you actually want from the pool due to how the system works. Each shard is singularly 7% It does not stack, or multiply depending on how many you pull. Only the law of averages would make it unlikely that you actually pull thousands of shard before you get a leggo, but chaos theory also dictates that it will happen to someone too lol. With sacred shards, you will eventually hit maximum mercy and get a leggo. If you only pull during a progressive, you will also eventually get the one you want. I've not done the math, as I'm not so inclined to do so, as I don't buy shards to pull, so it doesn't interest me personally.
Just summoned a lego from a single shiny white, but also I've got my second Duchess from a single shiny red, so.. Also Teo is amazing! He can so hard dragon in regent. My hard spider team is him and Artak. I don't have good regen set😂
I think it’s purely rng based…I’ve seen dozens of videos of people pulling wel above when their mercy starts on sacreds and getting robbed…personally my rng is 10x better on prisms
Thanks to the summon pool, with minor expense, i got Geo, rotos & gnut which were gamechanging. Then without spending I got Tatura, shemnath, and timmit the fool just with the free shards they give. For me they have actually been insane
So hard with Valk, Kymar, Harima in the mix, and I have none of these, to not spend money. So thanks for the reminder of the Archer debacle and not to chase pipe dreams. If these had say a mercy of 75 to 100 then the value would get way higher.
Yes for me. I got teodor, Harima, and nekmo yesterday pulling on prism shards. I’m no whale but when I spend it’s on these. I get a lot of dup epics but it’s better than getting rates I’ll never use. Dups I get I use them as books or chickens.
No mercy system really hurts them. You can spend your life savings and have only a bunch of expensive 4 star chickens to show for it. However, if you are a newer player and can manage to get 30 shards, a single pull during a pool like this is VERY worth it. There are so many great epics and legendaries there.
Spent $500 and only got bad-el I now have 8 fat mans, 3 seekers ,1 doompreist , 2 of the a1 freeze guy, then a bunch of fusion champs, I Should have bought voids or sacreds and waited for 2x. I just wanted a arena nuke
I want literally every champion from this prism shard pool xD i just got Kaiden for my sand devil shard, and now im bout to collect my fire knight shard. i still want every single one of those champs, even if its a dupe. i had fenax before this event for a while and it would be nice to soup him up with a little extra health by faction guardianship. update: got eolfrig from my fire knight shard. he ugly asf but useful
Just used my two free prism shards and out of all of these champions I got dupes of Fahrakin and Fayne. Goddamnit. 9/42 collected already and I get dupes😢.
Obviously Sacreds are a million times better if you are not spending. If you are, sacreds are the worst deal in the game. But why buy prism shards over void or primal if you aren't a huge whale?
I pulled 28 for only a single legendary. The thing that kept me in the game after that disaster is that I pulled my most wanted out of that pool, which was Kymar. (I had 6 star soul for waiting for him lol)
Prism shards are an absolute scam. Even for spenders i would never recommend them. For archer i did 70+ summons and got 0 legendaries. I should have pulled like 2 or 3 with the rates we had on that event. There being no mercy makes it a complete scam. This is the most schill content ive seen so far.
1st no mercy on Prisms. I've pulled up to 72 before hitting but my average seems to be in tur mid thirty range. 2nd they don't count in shard events. Lastly it's been 6% most of the time.
I got Ursala out of a Prism shard which is a great void epic and thus consider Prisms more valuable for early accounts. Mercy for Sacreds is a joke btw, 59 sacred shards to get the guaranteed leggo, hope that never anybody has to reach that with Sacreds... That's why double leggo events are great for Ancients but questionable for Sacreds, nobody wants to get into mercy with Sacreds... I consider mercy for Sacreds as non existent as bad as it is now...
I think Prism events (namely stacked ones like this that have TONS of good stuff) is great for Early game players who are looking to blow a bunch of money because literally everything would be valuable and has a limited pool of great legos that will all be game changers. Outside of that it’s for giga krakens only who have no budget and disregard for their bank account.
