No, private property rights are a privilege granted by the state. But since corporations control the state, its essentially a privilege corporations grant to themselves and they use the state to defend them.
Yep, there's a whole lot of circular reasoning in these systems. It all depends on where the influence and ability to stop the system lies. It's easy to 'drive' a self healing system to do what it's always done ;-)
Hmm, the hierarchy of rights at 11:52 (1 Self, 2 family, 3? community(s) ) did tend to exclude any expectation of benefit to society. Most of the societies that do have low poverty rates (mentioned just after) do include a balance for social society, rather than absolute property rights. Both extremes should be cautioned against, especially when some want property rights retained forever, to the detriment of others.
Thank goodness the world is round. There's a lot of sailing off both edges of the world that goes on in these discussions. Mainly it's the 'human nature' problem.
