After hitting record highs on Monday, fueled by expectations of increased foreign inflows, Sensex comes off day’s high and trades over 300 points higher; Nifty holds 25,900. Last week's Federal Reserve rate cut has enhanced risk-on sentiment among investors.
Twelve of the 13 major sectors logged gains. The broader, more domestically focussed small- and mid-caps rose 0.5% and 0.2%, respectively.
