Are ROOT RIDERS DEAD after the NERF ? (Clash of Clans) 

tbh I could see the nerf impact, all of those attacks nearly failed and heroes being the mvp clearing remainders threats/trash. It certainly no doubt non max hero/equipment will fail to perform the same result as itzu did. Actually good balance imo

I just replaced 4 roots with yetis and the strat still works pretty well. Overgrowth and hero equipments are so strong.

Root riders are dead for players who spam without using brain not for players who mastered it

I love when supercell make super expensive walls and a troop later that melts it like cotton candy

The main problem of rr is that it breaks walls. Valks and heroes will do all the works. So, either increase housing space or nerf heroes equiments and OG spell will fix the problems

They're not dead. I'm still doing about the same against th16. There is a slight difference but not enough for me to change my strategy.

People in higher legends are still tripling left and right. Slightly adapting. People are using 3 overgrowth spells now. My def log still has all rrs.

They are still fine but I think QC rootriders is better now since you can take a lot of compartments with queen. For me they are still good. It's not them it's the Hero equipments that's carries the attacks

Root rider are for tank main damage is done by Valk and rc and overgrowth help to protect army from major damage with king queen clearing big chunk of base

I use the old method of going into a corner. But I use 2 overgrowth spell variation and I go from the corner where town hall is more exposed and I can reach it faster. And overgrowth any thing that may help to reduce damage, eagle artillery, monolith, scatter, etc. If you concentrate and do a good job of supporting root riders they will do the job just fine.

I have replaced a couple from my normal army with some higher damage troops to compensate for the damage nerf. Not as easy to 3, but with minimal planning it’s destroying bases still in the 4500 range

I know that this wasnt just because of the comment on my last video... but I appreciate you making an army that doesnt require super troops or that heavily relies on the Cc trops like the blimp.

I agree. It’s harder to three star. Need to adjust the army comp.. perhaps include more healers

In our league wars we can only use a max of 4 RR. I was still able to 3 star at th15 after the update. I use 23 super barbs in my attack as well so between those and hero’s it’s still pretty easy.

It's all by design to motivate people to pay money by giving HUGE advantages to anyone with max things that Free2Play players CANT max yet. It wasn't like this for many years. Until a couple years ago they made all the op things too hard to get EVER for F2P. As a FULLY active F2P i STILL dont have a max set of the strongest equipment. All the paying players attacks have been 2-3 times stronger than mine for many months now (defense too). That's TOTAL BS.

Great video, itzu! Could you make a 2 healer charge “how to” video for different style bases? But no spiky ball. I think some people are finally getting the fireball to a reasonable level (20+) and with the RR need will be looking for new strategies. Also, I miss the event kicker already 😢

I'm in champ 2 cwl and I'm still seeing people spam everything in one spot without funnelling and getting 3 stars. The whole concept of the troop is broken and I'm tired of it. Most of my clan is also tired and we're just using other armies even though it's putting us at a disadvantage because we're tired of the braindeadness (and we also want to prepare for tournaments). I've seen some people making the dumbest mistakes with spells and troop placements in legends against me and still getting three stars when it would never have slid before root riders existed. I feel like they could nerf overgrowth, increase root rider troop space, upgrade spring traps, etc. I hate to nerf a troop into the ground, but this is basically the new edrags except they're actually OP instead of being mediocre at best when used mindlessly. This just isn't good for the game, and the fact that they have to add hard mode is a glaring sign of that. It also is frustrating that they're adding new equipment way faster than I can possibly keep up upgrading with, but that's a whole different story. In general it just feels like they're trying to cater to making the gap between casual and competitive players smaller, which I don't like, because you should have to work to become good at the game. If you don't like failing attacks, you can practice. It shouldn't be set up so that splurging some money and spamming will get you success in the game

is this still a good raid to do after the september 2024 update? I have been using 2 root spells instead of 1 and have had success up until the new update I have not tried this raid yet.

I use a few roots with pekkas and titans to kill skeletons and its much better. Just sub some of them out and you'll be in good shape.

They still cut through walls. Put a few uterus or 2 e girls with them. I haven't noticed much. I only just stayed using them

in my clan rr spammers started to spamming dragons now. its crazy they took only 16 dragons with 3 clone spells and balloons in cc 😂

I just 3 starred a nearly maxed TH16 using 10 Root riders, 10 witches and 3 skeleton spells ,rages and freeze spells and im a TH15...In Cwl....I was sceptical thinking maybe 70% destruction but smashed it with 5 root riders left...

its balanced for max equipment players and dead for casuals thats it also overgrowth might get radius nerf duration is ok

After the nerf I just adjust my attack I use 6 RR's, 20+ valks, 1 A.Warden and 3 wizards still getting high 2 stars or 3's so not complaining.

I use a similar army with double overgrowth and have 95% + 3 star hit rate in Titan 1.

I think hero equipment is the main difference, try with default hero ability

The problem with root riders is their wall breaking utility and how strong the heroes have become not necessarily their hp and dps.

Don't like the tip mentioned about nerfing the overgrowth spell next, Itzu ...let us average attackers keep something that's very good at least 🤷‍♂️😅 Love your channel and all your hard work btw ❤️👍🏻

Nerfed defences and buffed troops!! Crazyyy. The game's end is near at this rate. Moreover the game is becoming broing too. Even in CWL people still spamming rrs . No fun at all. Please nerf these hero equipments but since its a new revenue option now so i don't have any hopes from supercell that they're going to nerf equipments

Root Riders still destroy my very near, MAX TH15 Base. It’s a strategy that appears to be a guaranteed 3 Star Attack. IMHO, Root Riders need to Nerfed again.

Root rider is dead for regular spammers because not everyone has max hero equipments like you.and your attacks were too close to fail.

itzu, you are a pro and it was a close for you for us casual players it's making a difference attacks ending in 80% 2 stars using rr now... they shouldn't have nerfed this hard... before the update also I have seen people not been able to triple th14 with th16 rr army (they were noobs ) ... I think they should have increased the army campy space to 30 and reduce the damage to like 75% only... or something around that

Supercell needs to fire the RR team, four different tries to get it right (intro, three nerfs). Should have been fired when second nerf was rolled out. Seriously, the level of ill-will generated by this fiasco should be a firing event.
