As a family of 4, our Walmart tab used to be $150-$190. It's now $250-350. It's absolutely crazy how much prices have gone up!

Groceries have really gone up in price, at least where I am. I agree about generics! You've got a house filled with teenagers. It's only going to get worse!

My father would allow us a little soda (not very often) but he always filled the cup with ice so we weren’t getting very much.

Sandwiches are great on hamburger buns! No crust!! Also, breakfast sandwiches, egg and cheese. We always use buns for those!

I know it's quite hard to send off your little ones (now grown up) off on there own. For some reason they will always need your help. Once a dad always a dad. Let them go...but, always let them know that you will always be there for them. Yes, I agree on Sunday dinners. Always serve fresh fruits, and vegetables with your dinner meals. On Sundays dinners, I always make a fresh fruit and Vegetable tray to pass with dips to dip into. Like marshmallows fruit and coconut dip for the fresh fruit slices, and fresh cool ranch or french onion dip for the vegetables. Stuffed celery with cream cheese. Or cheddar cheese. Try some, it's delicious! And it's healthy for you, and your children.

I remember going to Kroger and spending 60 per week for a family of 3. Nowadays, my bill is 1200 (barely) for a family of 5.

Things to do with buns….. first u can freeze bread! Do that with some for burgers later! Down in Texas we have Whataburger, so we make tons of breakfast sandwiches out of buns!!! U can also freeze them! Wrap them up and warm in the microwave for later! Also with buns u can cut them up make French toast, monkey bread, bread crumbs! Bread for days tom! 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Family of 3 and our average walmart bill is at least 200 to 250 now and least once or twice a month!

It seems like food prices are going up weekly. It’s ridiculous! It’s just 2 of us here now and the costs are still up. The only things I don’t get now are the special items I used to buy for my oldest before he moved out. I know how you feel with having a child just leave the nest. I’m on week 3 and I still don’t like it. It’s a lot of different emotions, proud, sad, missing them. It’s just so much. Mine comes back on weekends sometimes so that helps. They grow way too fast!

That scent of dawn is actually hand soap not dish soap. I’ve used it for a long time and saw it labeled hand soap on the front of the bottle even though it’s with the dish soap. Lol

I always go to the store and meaning to buy only a few things then always find other things to buy that you were not planning on at all but buy anyways. I also get scared when my orders stuff from amazon as she gets mad at me when I forget something on the list, I forgot something like candy then she will order a case of the product, Amazon has its purpose I just despise all the cardboard I have to recycle every time my wife orders from Amazon lots of time 2 to 3 time in a week if not more.

I am so happy for Thomas that he has reached the point he wants to have his own place. Kinda sad too but we want what makes home happy at this new point in his life. Have the kids been bugging him wanting to spend the night? I'm sure they think it is so cool Thomas having his own place. The price of groceries have every one complaining. It's just unreal how they can jump so high and we have no say in the matter. I went from Kraft shredded cheese to other name brands then have bounced back and forth with other generic brands. It's to the point you run out of options. Thank the Lord we are still able to buy, but you really have to decide do I buy this or not. Alot of times it's I will not buy this or pay that price. Unless you are really rich and well off, this is putting a damper on everyone finances. I just shake my head with these prices. It's not going to get better. It's going to keep getting worse and worse. We have had it too good, and we are finding out how bad things can get. You may want to try some generic things and see if it will work for you. Every one has certain things they aren't going to budge on. I am a downy person and I still continue to buy it at this point. I may have to change my way of thinking on that, but as of now....I get Downy. Soap and deodorant and lotion are some other things I kinda can't change. Safe Guard soap, Soft and Dry deodorant, and Sauve lotion. That is more of what works that a want. We buy off brand milk, bread, cheese, can goods, pasta, and so much other kinds of food and medicine. You just have to look at the active ingredients. We buy more Gv brand stuff than name brand, and I'm a picky person. Some things I like better than name brand. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. You are doing an awesome job raising your kids.
