If Anfernee ever figures out how to use his athleticism to get to the rim and FT line on a more consistent basis, look out. That's something Damian kept getting better at, and I think is the key thing that separates Dame from Ant offensively. Simons is a good young PG. If we hypothetically did not have Scoot, wouldn't we be penciling Simons in as the PG of our new core? We have him on the books for 2 more years, and there are plenty of minutes for a 3 man rotation (and we know one of the 3 is going to get hurt at some point). I'd keep him at least 1 more year, minimum to evaluate the two players development.

A trade is definitely not happening. Pelinka will never offer both first or Knecht. He held off on using first with Westbrook for a year and a half with a horrible roster. Our current roster is 10x better now so we will probably wait until the trade deadline when more options come available

You don’t have to understand basketball to be a GM. They don’t know what they doing they going off groupthink. Coaches/scouts different story but GM are by at large groupthink era

Scoot and Sharpe are the future. Sadly its going to stunt this young core of Scoot, Sharpe, Camara, Rupert, Avdija, and Clingan if they are stuck defering to Ant and Grant next year. PLUS Portland wants to be bad this year and low key tank for a high draft pick for a chance at Flagg or Bailey. They need to be in full blown asset accumulation mode and trim this roster to the barebones young core and live with the results in terms of wins/losses the next year or more. Organic growth through draft to build a contender.

Im not a scoot fan at all.......id love to see them trade scoot with grant.......even get a big exspiring contract and knecht and 2 first......but i dont know who they can get just a thought.......id rather ant start with sharpe and advija......toumani and ayton.........if they keep ant and grant and everyone is healthy they wont be bad enough to get flagg
