The Guardians have made a trade with the Washington Nationals to acquire right-handed hitting outfielder Lane Thomas, both clubs confirmed to cleveland.com on Monday.
But is it enough for catapult the Guardians into the World Series contender conversation, or does the team still need to make another deal or two before the deadline to solidify their standing?

I feel like the Guardians do what they always do and play it safe when this year of any year they should’ve gone all in and made a major splash,. Now they have to go into the playoffs and hope one of the 4 sub part starters in the back of their rotation can survive

What move do they make, that doesn't take away from the bullpen. There's no starter available that you're asking for. If the BP is the best, and they have good hitting, that can overcome bad starting pitchers.

Tyvis is on point- its baseball man, they get some timely hits and the starters go 4-5 innings- theyre gonna win it all

Sure they beat some great teams in the regular season and are doing well but when all is on the line do you REALLY think this team will show up?? C’mon…

Lane Thomas will help. But they could use a middle infielder and starting pitcher.

no. nothing short of a bryce harper level trade makes them a world series contender. against the other top teams in the al.. they do not match up well.
