Michigan fan here. Shout out to CJ for making the point about Michigan still having experience despite having new starters in several spots. I feel that's context the national media is missing. Also, each player stepping into a starter role has higher upside than who they replaced i.e. at WR, OTs, CB, Nickel and Edge. Plus their transfers are big time. Keep an eye on Jayshawn Barham, Amir Hall, Wes Walker and Jayden Mangham. Good stuff guys! Looking forward to a great game! Go Blue! 〽
That was a pretty good assessment of Michigan’s team this year. I will say though that Texas fans will probably be surprised by Orji if you all think Milroe is a better athlete. Orji is bigger (6’3” 235), faster, and stronger than Milroe (6’2” 225). Milroe is definitely the better QB right now. Time will tell if Orji can develop into that. Good luck this season (except against my Wolverines)! Looking forward to watching Texas compete in the SEC. College football is finally upon us fellas!🍻
Don't underestimate the Midwest humidity. I'm born and raised in Ohio. The humidity and heat as of late has been as bad as I've seen around these parts. Almost like Houston like humidity
The Michigan-Texas game will likely be won at the line of scrimmage. That may favor Michigan. Their starting DL is The Best in the Country. That could be the Difference. If QB wins the game, Texas has a huge advantage. Should be an interesting game that will be foundational for the rest of the regular season.
I don’t necessarily think Juan Davis will be a tell. I think it gives you an opportunity to surprise the defense. Give him the ball. Let him run. I’ve watched his high school film of him running, and he can go and protect the ball in a crowd. Use him.
No Baxter means: - Less time of possession - more pass rush sets - reduced red zone efficiency - more field goals - reduced short yardage conversion rate - increased importance for Ewers to have a very high completion percentage like Burrow or Colt McCoy.
"Where it looked like Edward's was gonna run over 500 yards in the 1st quarter of the National Championship" and a comment below said some about UM running out of gas by the 2nd quarter.. we dont run out of gas up hear yall, just like Joel Klatt puts it, michigan is a boa constrictor and gets the advantage and then squeezes past the 4th quarter. Nonetheless, it's going to be a good game.
Michigan's OL is going to be very good and defense outstanding. Michigan will run the ball on Texas with Edwards and Mullins and mix in the passes to Loveland and the two speedster WRs. This will keep the Texas defense on the field a long time, allowing big Michigan offensive plays in the 3rd and 4th quarters. The Michigan defense will blitz and put the Texas QB on the turf - early and often. M 28 Texas 7
Blue and Wisner have to pop off to keep teams honest if they struggle early and often that’s where team can blitz Quinn often cause they know Texas isn’t a threat on the ground
As a Georgia fan and a man who lifts weights - FREE WEIGHTS and not machines and there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between the two, people give me respect. I demand respect. Georgia is an elite team. ELITE. Texas is a good team, but nowhere near elite. That is simply a fact. Now, Texas has has serious season ending injuries and the pre-season goals ARE NOW OVER. Texas can still have a winning season and make a bowl, but that is it. No more. I am getting very tired of Texas people making these claims about how the Longhorns can challenge Georgia. Let me be very clear when I say that is not going to happen. Not going to happen. Georgia uses free weights in their strength program, while Texas uses more machines. Free weights are much more effective than machines and that is what Georgia uses. Texas subscribes to the theory that machines will also get the job done, and that is simply not correct. Georgia uses free weights. There’s a huge difference between free weights and machines. I lift free weights and I am extremely well versed in college football and people give me respect. I demand respect for lifting free weights and also because of my knowledge of college football. Tone down this big talk about Texas. It is getting very old. The season is OVER from what you wanted. Now, 8-4 is reasonable IF no more injuries. Tone it down, it is old.
