Are the New 4-Star Weapons a Scam? 

Which weapon type are you choosing from your free Deep Sky Blazar Box? I'm going with the sword so I can finally play my Havoc Rover/Changli team without crying on the weapon menu.

At least they learned from their mistakes when giving us a free 3 star weapon in 1.1😅 Edit: it seems people actually use this weapon though? Imma give it a try then 😅

Lets be real, If it doesn't have something to do with crit or specific buffs we need... Its Shit. We don't really have a reason to pull for a 4* specifically because the Weapon banner ain't no Scam like "Other" GACHA games 💀

hopefully these 4 star weapons are stronger than the ones we have currently, they're almost worthless, even the battlepass ones. I'm liking the combat enough to just pull for 5 star signature weapons but there should at least be ONE F2P option out there. I'm hoping these are it.

Me with 2 EoGs so I could play changli and rover/sanhua/yangyang in the same team. Guess ill be sitting on this box.

Standard b5 are f2p choice. Because how easy to get them many ppl already bias seeing them as base weapon pick thus treating b4 as sub par choice

They need to add crit n crit damage on that 4* weapon not lock it at battlepass n lvl it beyond 70 was waste unless the weapon full aweken lvl 5

Imo they will not make super strong 4star because first, the weapon banner is 100% so they would like players to pull for it. Second, if they make strong 4 star that scale high, this will make the game so easy. We can see this in games like genshin, their 3 star weapon have attack 35.2% . This will make the game easy to beat without needing to think like genshin making it boring and not fun.

Hope theyre also on Jiyans weapon banner… if not i might just need to get the bp 😭

Then why not at least improve the stats of the previous 4* weapons a little. At the very least their duration :S. Also an R5 4* weapon should preferably be close too equal as a R1 5*. And if they've done it right. The 4* are usually just more specific in use while the 5* should have a more general use etc.

me a f2p with 4 signature limited weapons. and 1 5* standard. And then use Cadenza,Variation and the other one 100% "favge" moment

Tbh if they make 4 star weapons really good, people won't pull for 5 star weapons. We already have guaranteed limited and standard weapons, free standard 5 star selector weapon as well and you will eventually get a limited weapon by buying it's 7 pulls from oscillating coral shop everytime, it'll take time but that's essentially kinda a free weapon if you have patience.

The only way to make 4-star weapons useful is through some specific events that require them and only them. And they need to be much less demanding to upgrade.

They're not great but they're not terrible either. They're all attack percent which is great at diluting the current terrible 4-star weapon pool if they are going into the regular banners. More attack percent in the pool means more usable 4 stars (they were never going to be crit). This is especially relevant for weapons like gauntlets for which the 4 star options are basically terrible. I'm more irritated with Youhu being on the rerun banner instead of Shorekeeper's, predictable but disappointing. I guess they're aiming for something in between PGR and Genshin Impact in terms of player friendliness.

It sucks that they look so good tho... I wish we could use weapons we already owned as a skin for the same weapon type..

It's a good start in terms up ramping up the value of 4 star weapons. With the introduction of new ones in the future, I'm sure the viability will go up and they will be more of an option and worth investing in.

for me personally I wouldn't know what to choose because I was really lucky both with the standard 5 star weapons (2 swords, a greatsword, a pistol and a rectifire) and with the limited ones (I have all 5 stars weapons for the characters except Jinshi)

Perhaps this is the flip side of 5 star weapons being easier to obtain?

I wonder how good is the broadblade for Jiyan, I'm this close to buy bp for that crit rate broadblade. Currently im using forgeable broadblade so my bar is pretty low 😅

By now, with 55 average 5 Star odds, every account that played since launch and efficiently assigned their ressources can reasonably expect 2-3 5 Star weapons _(1 from box, one from standard banner, and one from limited banner)_ So yeah these weapons are indeed facing a lot of competition given that 5 star can be swapped. The big pro i can see is when using same weapon type twice on the same team. Definitely worth building for that intent. Glad i didnt commit to BP and weapon banners past the free pulls, Kuro listened 🥰 Now that we've got solid generalist options, the best case scenario i can see for the future would be very specialized 4 star weaps, that outperform standard 5 star at R5 on specific units, or that lean more towards support/utility. _(example : gauntled with a vibration bar depletion effect on skill cast, pistols/rectifier extending coordinated attack count, broadblade/gauntlets boosting shield gain, rectifier/broadblade skyrocketing concerto gain at the cost of lower mainstats... etc)_ I wouldnt even mind character locked signatures for 4 stars exclusively. Like for instance a HP/Energy regen Rectifier that lets Baizhi fill her concerto in a single 4 AA + Skill + Ult Sequence at R5 or enhance her buffing potential would be amazing to make her competitive at S6 R5, or a Sword that offers scaling Atk and/or self shield/bonus received healing as health lowers for Danjin, the list goes on :D

Wait, percentage attack, when did the stats change? I remember when I read the news it specifically said “Crit Rate” and not “Attack”.

Let's be real, if we had easy access to 5* weapons in other Gacha games, we wouldn't bother with 4* either. So, the problem we're talking about is a rather "luxurious" one. Also, getting the rectifier. Already got 2 swords (Changli and selector) and about to pull the guns soon.

This was a poor decision by Kuro overall. They've further diluted the pool of 4 star weapons, which means increased difficulty of getting the best 4 star weapons in the game, concerto energy weapons. No one is going to pull for bad 4 star weapons. Any they do get, probably at boosted rates, will only be because they pulled for a 5 star. A better solution would have been to fix the multitude of existing, unused weapons. Craftable or otherwise. They may have listened, but this was ultimately the wrong way to fix the problem.

The goat of 4 stars weapon is definitely Variation. It's one of the few weapons in the game that gives the player concerto energy. A HUGE 16 at max refinement. Even with Shorekeeper's sig, I still think that it will be the best choice for Verina(unless you have Shorekeeper's sig at R5, of course). 10% attack boost for your team is great, but having an nice outro activation frequency is even better, specially for Verina.

This is actually the reason why I'm pulling for each type of weapon on the limited banner, because it's like future proofing your account basically. My only missing limited weapons are Changli's, Jiyan's (I use Jinhsi's) and a Gun

Nah this is ass They need specific effects Like reset skill cooldown or give energy etc. to the team, boost smth special etc This are just stats Sure the energy is solid but nothing crazy Idk the 4* in wuwa are very lame Ofcs the dps options are not great as the 5* but thats why most 4* need to be different And i guess they know that very well but they dont want us to have great 4* options for our supports

I'm still holding onto that BP weapon box. I dont know what to pick, cuz for each character I either have the standard 5 star for them or their signature. I'm waiting for a situation where I struggle to build a meta team due to lack of weapon.

one way I'm seeing to improve 4star weapons is to have dupes increase the base and sub stats per refinement, ending up with an R3 weapon having a base/sub-stat stat equivalent of a 5star weapon another idea is to have passive effects that play around with character resources like how the variation and its kin are used for support characters that fill up concerto immediately. or it can even be a weapon that provides party-wide buffs once certain conditions are met (e.g. characters who share the same element with the weapon wielder will get bonus atk or something once wielder uses their skill or whatever).

4* weapons will see action as much as 4* characters in general the num approaching 0 at this point most of players have at list 3 5* characters I use Changli, Rover, Verina most of the time and maybe Shorekeeper will take Verina spot, but I'm not really interested in grinding for new sets of echos and ascension mats it becomes a chore to do i hate grinding for mats it takes sht ton a time I rather max out characters that i use the most and use them to clear anything and everything

signature 5* weapons for me 1 copy each for other 2 characters you get an unbeatable team but sense i main Changli 100% of the time and she will get everything the other 2 characters will see some action or none depends on what content I'm doing if holograms its a solo run

I feel 4 star weapons should always offer good support options. Whilst the 5 star weapons excel in dps

The new weapons seem to be pretty good compared to other 4star weapons, but 4stars could be all a bit stronger overall.

Interesting thing about the weapons is that it would synergize with shorekeepers buffing but you wouldnt want to anyway because the stats are soo ass compared to 5 stars

Considering they're focusing on the game being fun first I think they'll want them to be good

Im definitely gunna run these on my danjin my xiangli yao and jinshi. Its such an immense slog getting standard banner convenes so im still a good long while away from my third 5* weapon, which will be a broadblade.

I still want Variation though.

Ay, thank you for giving notice to my comment on your "BP Weapons suck" video 4 weeks ago. Great minds thing alike. I just love how they keep listening to the community feedback, they even just announced that they apologize for the increased grind in giving a fee 5* character and will add extra resource grind events to compensate in the next patch.

It's R3 Commando of Conviction vs That 4* Sword for me. Even if the new one grants more overall atk (due to higher base atk), I'll prolly stick to Commando since upgrading a weapon requires lots of resources.

If its not going to help 80% of the players, I think Wuwa devs just wasted their time designing, making the description and putting code into the weapons

Wuwa is really becoming like Tower of Fantasy. Its not balanced. But of course, this is a business, you are meant to buy the limited/featured 5 star weapons.

The BP weapons are good because most of them have Crit rate on them. Those who say, that they’re “useless or garbage” are just dumb. I use the BP weapons on my characters and it helps me ratio the cr to cd ratio much easier, then getting cr and cd on each echo pieces. That’s just me though 🤷‍♂️ Plus, the ones complaining about the 4* weapons are typically F2P players. They can purchase the cheap BP and get the BP weapon of their choice. F2P players don’t help out KURO make more content, it’s the light spenders and heavy spenders that do all the lifting. If they want to be F2P, that’s *TOTALLY* fine! Nothing wrong with that at all. Just know, beggars can’t be choosers.

With swappable 5 star weapons it really isn't a chore. Once you have a crit weapon of some kind of each, you're basically set. 4 stars don't do anything for a lot of players.
