Sneaker of the Year, imo. I can’t pick the 3s due to all of the QC issues and sizes are sitting on Nike and in Nike stores. These are so well done and I love the fact they used the actual original Tinker/Sandy design from 1989. Super cool history and ultra premium materials.
very nice, these are in the same league as the Re-imagined, white cement 3's that just came out. Nike has been coming with the HEAT early this year already.
To me these AJ4 x SBs are extremely well executed. I didn't appreciate them as much via pictures compared to seeing my brother's early pair in hand. The colorway i'd say is good but not mind blowing , personally i would have added that green behind the mesh / netting for them to pop a bit more. But still a good colorway. What stands out in hand is the shape , materials / quality and the tweaks compared to a regular J4. Overall seems very high quality for a J4 , shape looks more OG (always a good thing imo) and those tweaks like rubber instead of plastic (in spots) and minor tooling changes make a difference. Very much appreciate these , especially in hand ; plus the first colorway in what will likely be an ongoing collab between AJ4 x SB adds that extra hype / intrigue as well. For me these are the best sneakers of the year so far and will be close to the top for the year overall imo. WC3s way more iconic obviously but the QC on the Reimagined WC3s is quite bad and me being a bit tired of the aged / worn aesthetic puts these AJ4 x SB Pine Greens ahead. Ntm the superior level of quality on these AJ4 x SBs.
Ya know when you hear youtubers always say "80% of the viewers aren't even subbed!" .. well I'm usually part of that 80%, or 50% or whatever the hell it is for that particular channel. I check out a LOT of sneakers channels. Yet, THIS one is the only one I'm subbed to. The back and forth w/ Buckets is one of the reasons this is favorite sneaker channel! The channel was always good but the banter between you two is the best. Keep 'em coming! And don't take that ish buckets finish the thought! You shoulda been like "no I cut YOU OFF! .. HAHA!!

Agree! I have the reimagined 3s and the sb 4s as well and I gotta say that these 4s are indeed voted best release of the year in my book!!! The shape is nostalgia taking me back to ‘89’ very plush and good quality 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I got my pair and absolutely LOVE them! They're actually pretty similar to the PSG 4s, the burgundy/white/grey pair with the same soft back tabs so they don't cut your heels when skating or playing hoops. But the Pine Greens went even further and made the wings on the sides super soft as well. Plus with the extra padding and the beautiful slope of the toe box, I agree, there are going to be on my top 10 list of 2023 for sure. Love em...
Great review! I copped a pair on Friday at a local skate shop (which did it right: no announcements, no raffles, just word of mouth and FCFS), and I LOVE the way they look and feel. I used to "collect" SB Dunks but sold 'em all a couple years ago when folks had all that Covid $ lol. Since then, I've vowed to skate every pair of SBs I buy, and I do (mostly Blazers but a couple pairs of Dunk Highs). That said, I am having a hard time imagining skating in these, mostly because the Air unit looks like it would detract from board feel (also they're beautiful and I kinda recoil from the idea of scuffing them).

AJ4 x SB Pine Green has to be the most iconic sneaker for 2023. A Ma Maniere 12’s and Reimagined 3’s up there too but these just hit different. Every Celtic fan will be wanting these for the playoffs. Wish it had more gum on the outsole and the polyurethane insoles instead of that dream cell crap insole for $225. BIX is kind of lame too for an SP $225 plus taxes. AJ1 SB LA to Chicago was the best SB
These look way better in hand vs the photo’s that dropped a while back. Very clean look. I just copped my white cement 3’s today but I may have to grab these next week.
I picked up a pair of these on a raffle from my local skate shop. Just brilliant, 4s have always been extremely uncomfortable on my feet and the back tab would cut my legs. No issues here, SB comfort all round, and the soft back tab is a winner
I would like to say as a skater this shoes is very successful! this shoe is very much less is more very much a classic, as someone who has owned 3 pairs of jordan 1's and 4 jordan 4's and other nike's and vans these are one of the most comfortable shoe I've owned and last but not least this collab is the best!
As a skateboarder, I'm not sure how these will skate (will try to buy regardless, emphasis on try), but 1s have been used by skateboarders since their existence. Been chopping them tops off outlet mids for what seems like decades now. Gorgeous shoe, I really hope I get some. Not holding my breath. Got fucked over on the shock drop and reg release on the white cements and it make me angry I want these (and the AM1s) so bad.
i dont know what it is but every time i see this shade of green on a shoe, it's a 10. like every single time. i need these and im not a fan of 4s strictly because they aren't cozy boy comfy..

The Jordan 11 DMP retro!! If they do that pair all super premium their in the convo atleast just on the silouette alone & how popular concords are..people literally line up days b4 & kill for their pairs. Got a feeling that gold jumpman this time around in this climate will be recieved tremendously by the public. I have the 2006 DMP pack & it is still in full tact very quality..They better go all out on those ..

I like the Military 4s for sure, but that Pine Green pops way better with the red Jumpman!!! I'm getting these next month, I was going to get these or the varsity red 85 1 but aj4 as an SB, a no brainer, 4s are my favorite Jordan model all day. It's the first Jordan i ever bought and wore back in 89!!
