it's odd because you wouldn't usually see these kind of kits in traditional american sports like nfl or nba, but in football they go much more experimental
I completely disagree, Atlanta is one of the homes of hip-hop/rap culture and putting that on a kit is just another way of representing your city/club which is the point of a jersey anyways
Most of these kits have meaning to them that Ciaran is missing. Like this NY Red Bulls kit. The kit is celebrating Hip Hop's 50th anniversary, that's why you can see 1973 in the middle. A block party was held in the Bronx, New York in August of 1973 in which most people give credit to the birth of Hip Hop. The graffiti represents on of the four elements of Hip Hop, deejaying, emceeing(rapping), graffiti and break dancing. For someone like me who is a Hip Hop head and of course a huge football fan, this kit is more than a 10 and one I need to add to my collection.
I own the Bulls 3rd and have had many compliments. Although some people don't like how busy it is so more of a personal thing. I feel like it will be an iconic kit later on.
Columbus has a new badge because they tried to rebrand a couple years ago and it went nuclear with their fans and so they changed stuff again. Galaxy play in Carson, CA whilst LAFC play actually in the City. Love my black and gold.
I think LA Galaxy has one of the best names. The name comes from the fact that there are "stars" in Hollywood. Also, the name GaLAxy has LA in the middle of it.
healthcare is completely privatized in the USA, medical centers make billions of dollars per year and they need people to go to their hospitals so they sponsor it
Btw the reason why every kit is Adidas is because the entire MLS is partnered with Adidas, So Adidas partners with the MLS for profit. Same with Apple.
DC United's embossed flowers are Cherey Blossoms which are famous in Spring in DC and people travel there to see them. LA Galaxy is a tribute to the Real Madrid Galacticos, one of them was Beckham. Also the Galaxy theme related to Hollywood "stars" Charlotte FC is named after the city of Charlotte which is like laughing at Liverpool because the name of the city sounds like some kind of weird British food line Spotted Dick. I was gonna give you a like but as funny as it is to banter about certain American things it's also kinda ignorant not to at least read through the wikipedia pages on these teams and the MLS to have some prior knowledge.
Minnesota looks like the Northern Lights above the forest with a frozen lake in the foreground. Imo usual bright red Target logo would improve it - hunter's eyesight
Heavily disagree with you on the NYRB jersey. Sure, it's very "different" but honestly it looks really cool. I would buy that jersey because it's something you could wear even if you're not necessarily a fan of the team
The DC UNITED Kit is supposed to be cherry blossom trees. All the dc teams have done it. It stinks. I do have a Hawaiian shirt with it from the baseball team and that looks good lol
M8 it’s not difficult to understand, we’re the LA Galaxy because one of the most notorious things about LA is Hollywood where the movie S T A R S are. The colors and dorito bits are from the flag of Los Angeles hahaha
The nashville black kit is in tribute to Johnny Cash and the Dragon kit is in tribute to Bruce Lee Ciaran you need to reserch the kits before giving hot takes there were stinking takes
1. A lot of these kits are a lot better in person especially the Seattle Sounders Bruce Lee and the New York City Parks kit 2. The New England kit is rubbish and should be nowhere near a 10
Ciarán Carlin FC, you are seeing exactly what I am seeing... 🤣🤣🤣🤣MLS kits! well that what u get when u let Adidas do all your league kits half of them need to go in the barbage man ..and if you 2024 MLS kit you will see its an on going thing with Adidas always fuxking up the kits and the reason why this is happening its because Adidas is the only kit supplier of the league like which football/soccer league does that especially when u has over 20 teams in a league ..
Lol the overall inaccuracies that are genralized about most Americans not knowing the game is so far off lol this is a country of immigrants, European, Latin America, and the UK. All footy loving people. Ya the mls is kind of a joke no doubt, but the majority of id sayd 18 to 40 love and grew up playing football. Just funny to hear how wrong the misconceptions about the US are.
I think it's because most representations of US sports we see on tv/movies is either football, baseball or basketball never soccer. So we all grew up with the idea that Americans just don't care about soccer. To this day I still kinda feel that way tbh? I rarely meet Americans who are into it, but to be fair I don't watch thr league so I don't know how big it actually is
@@painpaixliberte at one point in time that was certainly true. I'm in my 30s and the game really took off in a ton of areas in my generation. The issue is it is a dead end sport here. So our best athletes often turn to football or basketball where there is a direct path to pro sports that are more lucrative here. Interest expanded here once we had access to watch the EPL and other European leagues where we can see the best of the best at their peak. It was less popular before that I think because the game here like the MLS just wasn't very good. I live on the North East in the US and soccer or football lol is and was huge here. Popularity still lacks behind the other domestic pro sports, but growing at a steady rate which I love to see.
