Polyphonics, bird calls and throat exercises.... That's why I can play higher than most people that are 30 years younger than a me that have been playing for 20 years... And I whistle while I work...

Never underestimate the power of whistling... Satchmo's wife and dizzy's wife tell you they could tell when they were walking down the street cuz you could Hear them a block away whistling

Great little video, thanks, Chris. Everything you said makes sense and the demonstrations were really clear. Would your method work for a former trumpet player who is trying to play cornet? I stopped playing when I was 25 and today is my 63rd birthday. I started playing cornet 2 years ago but I’m still struggling to move smoothly from G on the second line to C in the third space! Thanks Chris. Peter. PS - I’m in the UK.

@@ChrisDavisTrumpet yes sir. It’s working pretty good. Some warmup routines I have seen are too much for Intermediate (I think thats where I am) or beginners. Your routine looked reachable for me. Thx and best wishes.
