Sonic 06 gives us 1- Silver one of my favourite characters 2- Soundtrack is awesome 3- Upgrades are Amazing for all characters It's nostalgic for me and my brothers I like the game honestly

My favorite parts of 06 are Shadow and Silver's stories, i think character wise they're written pretty well and has some really good moments here and there ^^

The best thing to come out of this game was the creation of Silver.

Shadow's ending dialogue is probably some of the best dialogue in the entire sonic franchise.

I unironically had some of the most fun with this game out of the whole series because my friend and I were endlessly laughing at the glitches

Sonic 06 also gave us Mephiles the Dark, one of the best villains in the franchise. It also capped off Shadow’s character arc as we see him as a full on hero who resisted all temptations to go back to being antagonistic.

I will NEVER forget 06's music. Best in the series. Sue me.

Sonic 06 definitely has good qualities. Playing as Sonic and Shadow was fun, the level design is good, Shadow and Silver’s story modes were good (despite some plot holes), Mephiles is a great villain, and of course, the soundtrack is fantastic. I know all you cringy SonicTheHedgejerk redditers are going to rage at me for saying this, but it’s the truth. Sonic 06 could have been a 10/10 game, if it was finished and if the story went through some rewrites. It was ambitious, and I really respect that. When games like Sonic Boom (the worst game I’ve ever played), Forces, Lost World, Free Riders, est have come out since 06, why are people still claiming it’s the worst Sonic game?

I actually unironically loved Sonic 06 and still come back and play it now and then

sonic 06 is my favorite game in the franchise. when it came out, at the time i was a kid and i couldn't see the glitches and bugs the game had. all I saw was a great soundtrack and an amazing story. Of course, the romance between human and animal is bizarre but at the time I didn't pay any attention to it. I was too busy falling in love with the story of silver, who is now my favorite character not only in the franchise but in all games.

Every thing about 06 is just something to be happy about, even if it was a led down for most Sonic fans, it still gave us a potential look as to what 06 could’ve been in the start of the 7th gen.

Sonic 06 is one of my top 5 favorite games in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The story was great in my opinion (although it had many flaws) The gameplay was full of untapped potential. The character design and motion animations are excellent. Many good characters have been added. The stage design was excellent. Silver's gameplay bothered me a little, but I don't hate it either. In my opinion, the biggest problem of the game is that damn princess. Fortunately, P06 has eliminated many of the weaknesses of the game.

I dont think 06 is bad. Its really good for me as it was my second sonic game i got. It kept crashing after like the 3rd stage

All things aside, 06 has some of my favorite visual set pieces and level themes. Kingdom Valley always stood out to me and Crisis City was exciting. This is why Project 06 is one of my favorite Sonic games to play.

Things I like about '06: 1. The ending, where it literally retconned itself

I'll respond first with the polar opposite of that question, does Sonic 06 give us anything bad? - Blaze the Cat's muddy inclusion to the narrative - Overall polish (not to a game breaking degree in the slightest as most would have you think) - Repetitive boss fight encounters - Arguably Elise (not counting the scapegoat that is the kiss scene, that's not her character, I'm talking about the quality of her character here) - Super-Speed Sections gameplay-wise are abysmal (cause as set pieces they are great) Now let's drop the OG, does 06 give us anything good? - Best performances in the franchise for the time of its release in both the English and Japanese versions of the game excluding SatAM, arguably Underground and Japanese Sonic X - Best soundtrack in the franchise, I think this is universally agreed upon by whoever has touched this game in their life - Best characterization of most of the established cast at the time of its release, especially Shadow the Hedgehog. Most people's favorite Shadow comes from 06 and for good reason - Objectively good looking product for its time. Compare it to other 3D platformers released around 2005 and 2007, Crash Twinsanity, Crash Tag Team Racing, The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, Super Mario Galaxy, Crash of the Titans, choose whatever, as much as I love the games I mentioned, they straight up don't look as good as 06 does. - The most ambitious narrative in the entire franchise when it comes to games and for the most part it's executed pretty well. Most people cry about inconsistencies and plot conveniences like it's some sort of Sonic 06 exclusive which is disgustingly hypocritical. We can tear Sonic Adventure 2 a new one if we mind inconsistencies and plot conveniences in Sonic games. Not just SA2, any post-S3&K mainline game really, we really could, so let's drop that hypocritical crap and judge it fairly. - A natural evolution of the Adventure formula. Better Light Speed Dash than the previous games, better homing attack than the previous games (maybe excluding Heroes) etc It's time to stop pretending 06 was a bad game because over the top RU-vidrs and meanspirited compilations tell you so, it's good, always has been.

My first time playing it was through Project06 and loved it so much that I went back and played the original. I enjoyed it despite the lack of polish.

SonicCentral pretty much said exactly how I feel about Sonic 06. When you don't think about the bugs, it's actually not that bad

I think the best part about it is the fact that it introduced silver and mephelis and gave blaze the spotlight for a bit and even had all of team dark which is kinda rare

Shadows story was the perfect like, topping to his arc over the previous games. Like genuinely Shadows final line in his story are words to live by imo.

I played this game's multiplayer st a friend's house and completely forgot about it for several years, before finally realizing it was this game that we played. Guess that means it was at least a small part of my childhood

Primary issue with 06 is the performance/physics engine. Project 06 lets the genuinely good level design shine by polishing a lot of the other imperfections this game has

The script for Sonic 06 gave us some inspirational quotes. Sonic: "If you have time to worry, then run." Shadow: "I determine my own destiny". Silver: "It's No Use!"

06 used to have the best soundtrack until sonic frontiers came out and delivered songs like undefeatble, but you know what I still love his world 🌎 and all the his world covers people did.❤

The most critical thing it had that is good Is that it taught us a very good lesson.not to rush development but to take our time.

Shadow’s story was and remains peak sonic storytelling

The fact the levels have amazing looks and themes and the music is beautiful makes the story interesting for me. Thr concepts are good, the only thing they need to change is that ONE PART of the ending as well as fixing technical issues and (imo) animations.

It gave us Mephilis the Dark. Such a great villain that's just pure evil and I love him! Let's not forget that he's probably one of the first to actually kill Sonic. He's smart, cunning, manipulative and powerful. I really want him brought back in a future Sonic game someday.

Alright everything they did good in this game - Introducing Silver - Music - Sonic’s serious personality - The stages - Mephiles - Shadow - Custom Shoes for Sonic - Kingdom Valley and Aquatic Base (my favorite stages) - Amazing level design - Tie-ing in all stories from the 3 hedgehogs and make it all click in our heads and make sense.

I honestly like this gameplay style. Idk what you would call it? Adventure style? Free? It’s not as restricted as games nowadays. It was just fun and really enjoyable. Also Shadow being my favorite character, this game is the best Shadow has ever been post adventure 2/heroes.

If sega didn’t rush Sonic Team it would be amazing. But despite all of its issues I really enjoyed it for what it was. The music, stages. Character designs all of it was honestly top notch

A remake could be cool, I think fans nowadays would have enough goodwill to support that as long as they marketed it as they were fixing all the issues.

This is kind of how I feel about Sonic 4. At the time I was little and never played any other sonic game until I got Sonic Unleashed shortly after. So I’m pretty based around that one, but despite knowing all the ways it went wrong, it still manages to be one of my favorite games in the long run.

The ending is one of the best in the series tbh.

This game did offer the character development Shadow rightfully deserved. Let us play as multiple characters with a diverse range of abilities (whether they were broken and/or unfinished) Gave us one of the most chilling villains we've ever seen in a Sonic game, Mephiles the Dark. And also let us play as Blaze the cat. We can all agree her gameplay was the funnest. Hands down. 😏

I think its the memories with it. This Sonic is kinda magical on its own weird way. It has the worst Storyline, there were tons of Bugs and other issues but it will always be remembered as a fascinating failed Project which is so worse that its so good to never be forgotten.

This is why Project 06 is so great. It's because most of Sonic 06's problems were in the glitches and character control side of things. However, when the characters are made fun to play and glitches are fixed, Sonic 06 turns out to actually be really fun.

While the whole “sneak up behind sonic” thing is a bit cheap, having a villain actually able to kill sonic story-wise with more than just a “good end” “bad end” at the end of the game is such a great thing. It makes you feel like you’re really fighting for your character and their friends' life.

I don't hate Sonic '06 just feel like it should've gotten a delay or something. This game is honestly one Sega should consider remaking and getting it right. A shame this game killed the Adventure format for Sonic. Been wanting Sonic to return to the Adventure format forever now, I know Frontiers is kinda that, but I want something more akin to the original Aonic Adventure and having those open exploration hub worlds with secrets to discover.

This is the reason why people HAVE to try Project 06. It fixes the technical issues, basically making it the complete game it was always meant to be, but it even changes and improves on some minor things elsewhere to make the game even better. It basically proves that without the technical issues it would’ve been considered at least a good Sonic game when it came out.

One of my favorite parts of Sonic 06 was the way Shadow's character was handled. For me that was the last time Shadow ever had good character development. Hopefully the movie delivers super well.

Sonic 06 introduced me to my favorite video game character of all time, Blaze the Cat (I got Rush Adventure when it came out and didn't play rush until years later) so I will always be greatful for that

I think if the mach speed sections were done better then they would be a great breath of fresh air because your actually look serious for once, and forced to go fast in these sections

i love the proportions of sonic in this game, making him taller makes the gigantic quills not that big of an issue, i wish i've lived in the universe where they pushed that model foward instead, bruh.
