I would recommend to everyone with questions ,to read "Black Elk Speaks". Wally talks about native americans relationship to all their surroundings. It's about respecting everything around you, from the tiny ant ,to the mountains , birds,sky, mother nature etc. To understand them you have to understand yourself first. Unfortunately in this day and age, a lot of our youth no longer speak the language. Wally does a great job interpreting all these teachings. Our elders were able to summon the rains when needed, but we were told" the ways are too powerful" and we wouldn't be able to control them. So they took it with them. I've heard this from other tribes as well. When you understand yourself and deity, perhaps you'll understand the invisible senses. Blessings to everyone.

The only things that set me off are red wasps and love bugs... Ground hornets don't touch me. I can stand in a swarm of hornets and the leave me be, but one wasp see me and it attacks. Everything else has a function and even love bugs have a function as bothersome as they are to people outside. I don't like love bugs because they get all over me and I don't want to squish them, much less breath one in. What do the Navaho think about wasps because they would surely get into their dwellings?

I believe in other senses. I lived somewhere for many years where I was scared different nights to go outside. I've always been comfortable in the woods at night. These nights I never saw, or heard anything. Then saw cougar prints in the driveway, and saw a few cougar many years later. I know I sensed them. Never had that kind of fear for no reason anywhere else.
@paulafugate3210

Yup! Been there. I felt them and a few days later on the same trail cougar sighting signs everywhere. Another occasion in a campground we caught a cougar stalking around. It walked partway into the women's bathroom where a woman could be seen in full length wall mirror, she had her back turned to the doorway. Shefelt it and turned around but it had already gone.

@@mjb1403 I think this may be a semantic issue. I've been thinking about the topic of "nothing" quite a bit lately. I think most people know there is such a thing as "nothing," even if only on an intuitive level. It's the absence of other things, the state of our universe if entropy goes on and on and on. It is the hopelessness and emptiness we have when things are destroyed, the increasing like of life and drive that plagues our world. Right now, I think we're coming to understand it better. Right now it's more of a spiritual thing--a thing that we can see washing over the systems of our world, where chaos replaces order, injustice replaces justice, disorganization replaces organization, and things just fall apart more and more. Things we use to rely on have disappeared, replaced by emptiness; places we used to go to are are closed, things we took for granted for years or even generations have been swallowed up in inky darkness. I think we've been seeing more of it in the last few years. It's always been with us, an eternal night and day and night and day, back and forth struggle between these things. Right now though it seems like our world is just reaching a dusk, and the night is beginning to grow stronger after a relatively warm, long day of light and understanding. I think some people believe, even hope, an eternal night is about to arrive. I hope not. Like I said, I've been thinking about "nothing" and such things lately. I'm reminded of "the nothing" from The Neverending Story. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CrG-lsrXKRM.html

I dig it. I survived in the forests in Massachusetts after living in Arizona. My 5 scenes told me what was immediate. Once I was out there for a while I started being able to predict things by observation knowing when I needed to persever, strength, and willpower. I learned when to be humble and brave when bears and coywolves were near. How and why the water flowed how it did so I could make light my shelter. Im probably way off base but I love being in nature. The news I interpret from it is more pure than watching weather reports and haring about presidents on TV. 1 day I hope to learn the true extra scenes.

These are sound teachings for us all. Thank you so much for asking us to look to wisdom. These teachings also help me be ok with being what they call "a Sensitive". Sometimes it's quite painful. But it's a spirit gift to cherish kindness, too. It's so painful that people hurt other beings. In prayer, when I'm upset at cruelty, I just ask "render them harmless". It's up to the Great Guide how that is taken care of. Keeps me aware of my reactions as just reaction feelings, ya know...process with my higher power before speaking or actions that might be regrettable.

The U.S. does not have a health and social support system like many developed countries. I no longer have a family or community to bond with. If I had, things would not have deteriorated so in me. I'm not trying to sound like a victim. It's the reality for many poor souls in this world. Getting past fear is a big one but it seems everything i have ever feared doesn't turn out near as scary as I thought it would be & i think finally at the age of 62 I'm calming down & not letting fear have power over me. To do this i talk out loud to myself while experiencing fear & say I'm going to be on time, I'm going to find the right address, it's going to be easy, etc etc & it really helps me a lot.

I heard about a dangerous time within the last twenty years where the pursuit of those things was destructive. A niche trend of hacking the body started to show up. This caused people to do irreversible damage to themselves.

To conquer fear, one must first encounter fear. That means fear is needed for growth. If you have nothing left to fear, there is not much left to learn. This is a mental extension of the physical limits of growth. When you exercise you can "feel the burn" in your muscles. They're screaming at you that they want to rest. Many people fear this burn and back off, without ever reaching the next level. I chase after the burn. The burn is growth and improvement. If I can bench 200 pounds that's where the burn is. But if I'm persistent the burn goes away. Where did it go? It's hiding out at 220 pounds. The burn is afraid of me now. I have to chase after it again. Now it's afraid some more and hiding at 240 pounds, etc. Do the same thing mentally. Find your fears and conquer them. Some fears are good and need to remain in place, like jumping off a cliff. But you can transform this fear into respect. People who hang glide off a cliff are no longer paralyzed by fear, but they still respect the danger of the cliff. They have grown. They're at the next level, leaving the rest of us behind. They can repeatedly jump off the cliff with respect, not fear. Conquering fear doesn't mean becoming reckless or foolish. Fear, properly utilized, brings wisdom.

I’m from Colombia there is a saying that my mom repeatedly told me (translation from Spanish)the unseen is much more vast than what we are able to see with our human eyes…just because.we can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not there, as the sun hides under clouds and we can’t see it yet we know it’s there….we need to see beyond our physical senses to grasp reality… thank you for sharing your wisdom…peace

Thank you. It saddens me a bit that you won't discuss the invisible senses. I might guess that they are a senses of joy, happiness, confidence, and peace. I believe in Great Spirit, and I try to listen for wisdom from Him. Still, I wish I could hear what you would have to tell about them. In my world, a world of money and ego and control over the spirit of others, it is very difficult to know The Way. There is too much chaos for much of the time. Still, I will journey and pray and listen for the wisdom in the stillness and the movement.. Thank you again.

I have recently discovered that through some miracle of God that I have become a Big Foot whisper. I didn't go seeking them they actual found me. Being a very spiritual person whose always been kind hearted from the moment I could both talk and walk. Which at one time I thought was a weakness in my character; and not a major strength that it truly is. It was my strong character, integrity and excellent work ethic which made me a magnet for other people who shared the same good values that I did. It's this genuine goodness that attracted the big Foot mindset to me. Despite not word ever being spoken between us. they feel comfortable enough to share their very secret world with me and others who think and feel like the same way that I do. It's like being a member of special elite club where only 50% of humanity are actually aware of their true existence in the world today; while rest of the world continues to be completely skeptical about the subject.

I am truly grateful and have a great regard for this American Indian gentleman and his Navajo teachings. It's just that I'm a little confused with this video in which he is supposed to teach about the invisible senses and yet cannot or chooses that it would not be wise to name what those invisible senses are. So I am having some difficulty in understanding what he could be talking about. But one thing did come to mind and that is virtue. The true nature a virtue. Could that be considered an invisible sense? And how about faith, could that be another one of the four invisible senses? Maybe the remaining two would be wisdom and love.

Senses being an understanding/knowing of internal and external stimuli. The 5 known senses paint a picture when stimulated. But none of these 5 senses alert you to a sense of danger, safety etc etc by pure feel...........that would be the 6th sense............kinda intuition. You just know..............you feel it. I have been saved many many times in my life and i would credit it to a deeper feeling/knowing that i have to get out of dodge pronto. Its almost as if being pushed/driven but without the physical sensation. You just feel it and need to split. Then theres the sense of the presence of higher intelligence, God or other entities that perhaps operate beyond the realm of the 5 senses. It is possible that some are more in tune than others to these senses/energies or that they only turn on when truly needed in say a life/death situation. Maybe they turn on when you wake up in life/have a grande realizeation and finally understand that the pains, sensations and feelings youve had all your life were not merely aches and pains but our senses, guardians or God telling us that what we are doing is wrong, who we are with is wrong, where we are is wrong, where we are going or where we live is wrong. We have lacked the true understanding/knowledge of these senses and how to interpret them. Thats why many people make many mistakes in life. That includes me. Man have i screwed up. Love although an emotion is indeed felt deeper than touch etc...........Its a knowing/understanding.............a feeling/sense of it. There is indeed more to this world/life than we understand but then we are creations in this world, not creators of this existence. Its all fascinating stuff. Learn to be in tune with yourself and the world around you. Read the signs............they are everywhere. Keep an open heart and mind.............. Do this and life will run better.................if we dont............ life will continue to be out of rhythm.

@YTistooannoying
@YTistooannoying 4 года назад
@@veejayyazzie9572 that is not true, we are all five fingered beings, but as Wally says, we should connect to the Deities we have been raised with. The Navajo people do not have an understanding of the spirit that other peoples are incapable of understanding. Knowledge and philosophy is not genetic. We all have been given different ways to connect to the creator. No one way is exclusive based on heritage. The Navajo way is better for you as they are your people who you have grown up with. Me, having been raised close to your people I have a great understanding, far more so than then philosophies of my ancestors. It is all in familiarity and we understand best that which we are raised with...those groups become our people, our family....so even as I have a deep understanding of Native American ways. You can send me to the places of my ancestors, (Norway and the Netherlands)but I was not raised there. I have never visited. I have no true connection or understanding of those places. I am a foreigner to them as much as they are to me. I don't understand nor feel bound to them, but then I am told by the people who I do feel a connection with, whose philosophy I do have an understanding of, that because my DNA is not the same I have no place. I am cast out. I am an orphan with no home. How cruel to cut someone off from the spiritual world because their genetic history is different.

You can use laziness as a motivational tool. Convince yourself (truthfully) that if you work harder today you can relax more tomorrow and really enjoy it, instead of worrying about all the things you were supposed to do. Once you get the hang of that, you will become a work machine, producing much, and not having all the work be a burden. It's an attitude thing, and it's surprisingly easy to overcome.
