Here's a little video from this past summer. This is a spot my wife knew about and we've only been there a handful of times only because of how hard it is to get in there but I wanted to go back and get some more of these huge what seem to be geodes but I'm not so sure they are. If any of you have an idea what these huge ones are let me know.

Yes it does. I think it might be a really old stromatolite. I just did a video within the past week with my little collection of those. Check that video out let me know what you think. I also did a video with a bunch of ancient Coral that I've collected over the years. A piece at a time. Let me know what you think about that too thanks for watching the video. And thanks for the comment

I'm pretty sure that they are fossized coral. Awesome finds! I'm polishing one that I found and cut right now.

Thanks for watching the video and thanks for the comment. Curious to see what you got going on to include I might have a question or two I'm just an amateur here. I've been doing some cutting and polishing videos on my other channel called craft art Collectibles here on RU-vid. I'll make a comment from that channel on yours and subscribe from both channels. I'm uploading a creeking video for this Channel right now. I'm wrapping up my rock garden today I think and it's packed with all kinds of stuff. I think you'll be interested in seeing that video. Last night I had a comment all typed up with a few more things to say and my brother showed up and I lost track of what I was doing and ended up swiping out your comment. Realized what I did right after I did it. So many things to do but I'm going to go check out your page. Have a good one, John

@@outdorrfun9948 I'm really more of a watcher than a creator. I have no videos on my channel. Although I have thought about making some shorts just to show my rocks and fossils. Do you have a link to your other channel? I'd like to check it out.

Solid no crystal is lodestone more then likely. Solid one that is quartz crystal is a quartz nodule. Hollow crystal is quartz geode. Those are from sedimentary geode formation not the wider known volcanic way. The nodule starts forming from a center point out unlike the geode which forms from silica and other minerals filling voids in the sedimentary earth left by animal burrows and fossils. The fan coral is geodized. Ive found the same sized one as yours completely agatized. Since coral is made up of hollow tubulars it can be a mess as a geode. Tends to be alot of iron oxides in them especially the larger ones. The area you are looking in you can find nice botroidal chalcedony geodes with smooth blue bulbous microcrystaline quartz. If there's a larger river feeding that creek Id search the banks of the river. Great way to clean even the nastiest geode is using couple cups of powdered iron out in a 5 gallon bucket of water. Let the geodes soak for a couple days if needed then rinse really good and dry it even better. You can spray clear gloss paint to seal the final prodect. Solid nodules I cut and then polish w diamond pads.

I appreciate the comment James. Thank you very much for the information. I have to admit I'm just an amateur when it comes to identifying rock. I do have another Channel called @craftartcollectibles where I do different kinds of stuff but one of them has been cutting polishing and wire wrapping Stone. I use the pads to include a use tumblers. I have an ongoing video with the Tumblers right now. I got four barrels going to polish today. Plus I'm working on two pieces with the pads for wire wrapping as pendants. I got more to say but I got to get going. For the past week I've been working on my rock garden and it will be done today so I'll post a video this afternoon sometime. I think you'll get a kick out of all the stuff I got in it just stay tuned. If you can go check out those last two videos I posted and let me know what you think. You have a good day James I appreciate you watching the video and making the comment. John

Thanks for watching the video and thanks for the comment. If you have some references please let me know. I've never seen any that look like this but I have seen some stromatolites that look like this. I'm getting ready to do a video on two rocks that I picked up close to each other and they looked like it could be some coprolite so stay tuned. Did you get a chance to look at the last two videos I posted? The last one was these rocks in the one before it was definitely some Coral but I don't know what kind

Hey thanks for watching the video. That sounds like a good idea. Just so happens I do that kind of stuff on my other channel. @craftartcollectibles. I'm actually in the middle of several videos right now one of which is meat cutting a stone and using those grinding and polishing pads on my drill to see how long it takes start to finish breaking out my wet saw to wrap it up with wire. Another is me tumbling some stone in four separate tumblers and it's an ongoing video on its third step of grit. I have a huge amount of slabs and shaped pendants in the bunch. Like the one you see me holding in the picture there. I actually just gathered all of those stones together yesterday English checking them out. I'm glad you commented. Right now as I'm typing this out I'm going to go set them on the table and shoot a video to include mention you and what I'm going to do with one of them. The video won't take long so stay tuned I'll have it up within a couple hours. This is a video I've being wanting to do for a while. I just did a video on a bunch of ancient Coral that I've been picking up for years have you seen that? Again thanks for the comment I'll get back with you though stay tuned. John

I'll be doing some videos soon of the different types of geode looking stones that we have if you go back into the videos that we posted you'll see the types of geodes we find. I use a wet saw to cut this stuff up but have to admit we used hammers😁 stay tuned because I'm cutting geodes tomorrow probably

I'm going to have to do some more research on those. I'm leaning towards those being a type of coral or maybe even a buildup of ocean stramatolites. I just did a search on those and they do resemble stromatolites but they look more like Coral. By the way we're going back out to that tree today just to get out of the house so we'll probably take some video. You have a great weekend

Thanks for the information Mike. I appreciate it. Sponge huh? First thing that came to mind was a stromatolite. The ones I have came from one little section of the creek. I'll be doing several videos over the coming days with a variety of those sponges?, geodes, and some other cool stuff I don't know what it is. I just posted a short of some coral a huge collection of coral really old stuff I have no clue how old it is but I found all of that in a little section of Creek right by my house over the past 20 plus years. All I did was a short on it so far but I'm cleaning it and will do a longer video on that but check that short out and let me know what you think about that coral. I'm going to go check your Channel out you have a good day. John

I hate the fact that you're obviously trespassing. I'm also nauseous and only a short way in. Just long enough to see your girl lifting and turning over all the heavy rocks while you tell her what to do. 🙄 It's funny how you call everything a crystal, jasper, and even brain coral. The big lumpy ones do look like geodes, though.

Besides the fact that she weighs 100 lb and she's tougher than most men and we don't ever go anywhere unless it's public. Why are you trying to pick on people you trying to be some kind of bully
