I've been using hyperx cloud 2's for the past 7 years and now I'm looking at switching to IEM's since over ears are quite literally denting my head and are at this point getting annoying to wear. I've been looking at the truthear hexas and the simgot em6l's and I'm wondering which one will be better for competitive gaming (EFT, R6, CS, Val etc.) and if either will be better than the cloud 2's ive been using.
I’m in the same boat as you, looking to change from the Hyper X Cloud 2 to an IEM, as I am also changing from PS5 to PC gaming. Did you ever decide on anything?
@@Qruixe404 yeah i ended up getting the simgot em6l. At first there was a slight pain in wearing them and i thought they just sounded worse and had worse imaging than the cloud 2 but i go them sound alot better after some slight EQ (EqualizerAPO + Peace), and I guess my ears got used to them, because the pain that I had at first is now completely gone and it feels like I'm wearing pretty much nothing on my head now. I also got used to pinpointing audio better with them, so at the end of the day after a long time of using them I'd say they're better than the hyperx in every way except for imaging where they're slightly worse, but I'm willing to take slightly worse imaging for better audio quality (after EQ) and the comfort that comes with wearing IEM's over a headset.
I need a adapter between my pc and the simgot maybe a adapter length of 1-2 metre because the cable is to short for me, do i get quality lost because of the length adapter?
Hey dude. I have been using Truthear Zero (blue) for a week, but it seems like there is something missing. My goal is to play games and listen to music. The voice of the player behind me sounds confused as if it were in front of me, or I can't detect it :) This is my first time using an iEM headset. Before this, I was using the Sennheiser HD700 and I could locate rival players as if I were placing them with my hand. I live in Turkey and the conditions here are a bit challenging, I don't think I can constantly try different brands and models :/ Can you recommend me a nice model? I just want to put on my headphones and enjoy myself, I'm so confused, please help. My budget is $400
Hi. I already own em6l. But I am looking for better midbass & bass iem for classic/hard/blues rock but not big size iem like mp145. Can you suggest few options pls? Thank you
Would ps5’s dualsense 3.5 jack be capable of driving the em6l? I’ve heard people say to stay between 32-40 ohms to get a proper volume and 50 or higher the sound will diminish. Don’t have a budget to get a amp that’s why I’m curious.
@@Brewer95x I'm guessing you are just plugging it directly to the ps5. You need to have a good source for them like getting a DAC/AMP plugged into the PS5 then you plug these earphone to that DAC/AMP
Follow up to this comment, the metal casings over the bores of my EM6L fell off only a month into owning them, so back to Amazon they've gone. A shame, I did enjoy their sound, but they didn't fit in my ear very well.
Hi Ryan, I just wanna let you know that im very grateful that i found your channel that talks about IEM in competitive tactical shooter game. I am thinking of getting this one, but do i need an audio amp for the IEM to reach it's full potential? Or plug it in to the motherboard jack is enough?
Hi, I'm not sure whether you'd notice a sound quality bump with this set, but I used to get static in my IEMs when I would scroll my mouse wheel whilst the IEMs were plugged into my motherboard. Bought a cheap DAC/AMP from Amazon and it completely solved the issue, same for a friend of mine too.
Definitely. dac/amp will def improve the audio quality. I just got my first dac/amp 2 weeks ago and all my iems came to life. Schiit hel+ or fulla if you need one for gaming
