Went to Hershey Pa and stayed at the Day's Inn hotel and the hotel pumps chocolate fragrance through the ventilation and are hotel room smelled like chocolate the whole night. You would think you would get sick of it, but it was quite nice. Woke up next morning, 5 pounds heavier, without eating a thing. Just kidding on that part. But really enjoyed the visit and loved visiting Chocolate World.

So glad that you got to try so many PA snacks. We live near the Herr’s factory and you can take a tour and try warm chips, right off the assembly line. I grew up in Philly, and Tom Sturgis regular pretzels are my favorite.

I grew up in the Mormon church, when I was little there was no drinking any soda with Caffeine, so we would always have Rootbeer ... and I LOVE it, it is sweet and yummy, then I got a little older and wiser and fell in love with Birch Beer, it's spicy and delicious and my whole family loves Birch Beer, it's definitely an East Coast thing, and harder to find in Southern California. I've been to Hershey Park .. it's a fun little place and you can tour the factory, but like you I've had the Wilbur Buds as well and prefer them to Hershey. Thanks for sharing your box adventure with us, it was fun.

From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania here. Some of these I've never heard of but definitely love Utz (which wasn't sold in Pittsburgh until a few years ago) and Snyder. It's definitely called Reading (like Red-ing). Great to see my state represented. I did send you guys a box back around Christmas. Utz was included. lol

My mom is from Pennsylvania, it was fun to see you guys try some of our families favorites! We live in Kansas now so when we visit PA we stock up on middleswarth barbeque chips and the 2 tasty cake flavors you got! My parents like the birch beer too but I don't care for it myself.

I didn’t like root beer until I had my mother in law’s homemade brew. She’d save the potato water (from boiling potatoes) and used the A&W extract and add some yeast. I’m sure you know Kate that the combination of the starch from the potato water and the yeast produced an “explosive” root beer. She used to bottle her root beer and sometimes you could hear the bottles exploding in the basement😂. We also felt that the longer the bottles sat there, there might have been a bit of “fermentation” that could give you a pretty good little buzz😉

There was a news story programme on the radio and whenever they mentioned a town in the UK they would say it's distance from Reading. It was lovely and fun.

I love root beer. A&W, Barqs and IBC. But my favorite is made by a local place where I live, in Wichita, KS called NuWay. They're famous for their crumbly burger.

We do actually have recipes where one uses ground up Teddy Grahams for the crust of cheesecake, it's amazing, especially if you use the chocolate ones.

We only had it as a kid as a rootbeer float. It was a special treat that my dad would buy the rootbeer at A and W and then he would make the floats. Mom never liked rootbeer either and would have a coke float. I only drink it on rare occasions. I have to be in the mood.

I am from the poconos in PA .. I prefer utz my husband loves herrs but we both love the honey mustard pretzels. I grind them up and use them as a coating for chicken thighs.. We also do it with sour cream and onion chips but the pretzel is our favorite ❤

In college I worked at a local restaurant in eastern PA. We had Birch Beer on tap and we served more of that to customers than Coke !

Rootbeer is my favorite soda! Sassafras is even better. In Texas there are many varieties of both from smaller sellers, and ones made with cane sugar are the very best. Add a scoop of BlueBell vanilla bean ice cream, and it's a real treat!

I love Root Beer especially Root Beer floats. Some people say Root Beer mixed with Horchata is good but I've personally never tried it.

In North America, there's no catch-all rule for how to pronounce "Reading" as a name. Sometimes it's "redding", sometimes it's "reeding", it depends on the context and the origin. Growing up, I always heard "Reading Railroad" from Monopoly as "reeding", but I wouldn't be surprised if other families said "redding". I don't actually know which is considered canon.

Hey You Two! This was a REALLY good box and several things I have never seen before. Those Snyders pretzels that were your favorite are my ALL time favorite pretzel. They are ADDICTIVE! I don't drink Soda anymore but when I did I LOVED Root Beer. Here in Georgia.....we didn't really have 'Birch' Beer but I think its just about the same as Root Beer. As you guys know I am NOT a fan of Hershey chocolate BUT I DO LOVE a 5th Avenue bar. They have recently changed Butterfingers here and I cannot stand them and would pick a 5th Avenue Bar anyday over Butterfinger. I LOVED your reaction to figuring out Hershey is made in Hershey PA and where the theme park is. You can ride through the factory and watch them make the chocolate. I went when I was a child and it was soooo magical and delicious (as what child doesn't love chocolate....now I am NOT a fan). Thanks for an awesome video and cannot wait until the next one. I hated root beer when I was younger, it tasted way to sweet, I always went for Dr. Pepper. Now I love root beer. I will sometimes mix Dr. Pepper and Root Beer together if I am at a self serve place that offers both. Sprecher Root Beer brewed in Milwaukee, WI is my favorite, it is the best root beer I have ever had. Followed by IBC brand and A&W made with vanilla. It is sad the dentist has ruined root beer for you all. Our dentists typically use mint or cherry. I agree with many of the other posts, you MUST drink root beer cold and in a frosted glass for the best experience. Warm root beer is the nastiest to me, I won't/don't drink it warm. As always you both are so fun to watch!! :)

I love your videos so much. I've been thinking that getting a scratch off map, like people get for travel, to scratch off all the places that you have tried snacks from would be really cool. I think that would be a great way to visually see all the places you have tried snacks from! When you do a video from somewhere new you could start the video with scratching off the place on the map!

Love love love root beer grew up on Dog In Suds drive inn's and A&W Root beer drive inn's. Reminds me of my childhood. The best is a Root beer float which is vanilla ice cream with Root beer also known as a Brown Cow try it that way.

Your friendly neighborhood (former) Utz salesman here! While I had hoped to send you a box later this year with some Northeast PA specialties, it seems this box has done a pretty good job. I might still send a few things that are unique to our area of the Commonwealth (PA is NOT a state!) First, it should be pronounced Uh-ts, rather than Oo-ts. Not a big deal, but technically correct. Second, the Utz Sour Cream and Onion are a local favorite, but the Grandma Utz is actually less well-liked. I'm not sure why, but they have never sold quite as well, at least in my area. The party mix is not anywhere near as popular as the Utz Pub Mix, which has more small, crunchy pieces rather than the Party Mix's crisps and pretzels. I'm glad you're enjoying what Pennsylvania has to offer!
