My dress socks - and most of my socks in general - are all made my Falke. I bought my first pair just over two years ago now and every one of them are still in good and usable condition. Not one single hole. I can’t imagine I would need a new pair of dress socks any time soon.

Rev. James C, I bought a Falke OTC Bristol and it had a hole in the toe area. The shop didn’t require a return and refunded me. I patched it up and essentially got it for free.

@@phillipyao4260 You forgot the part about causing the hole with your big toe nail. ;-) I’m surprised they didn’t send you another pair instead of the refund. Two for one sounds good to me.

Rev. James C, It had a hole brand new, I was checking it before I wash it. I’m in southeast Asia, i doubt they are going to ship me replacements.

Falke is crap compared to this. The yarn and fabrication is way inferior. The only good products by Falke are the totally overpriced luxury socks. And you will immediately feel the difference between the normal Falke products such as Shadow, Airport etc. to any quality Italian socks such as Bresciani, Gammarelli, Calze Sabas, Calze Vitrano etc. that are produced to a much higher standard. (And cheaper btw.)

Kirby, I must say, I tried the brand Dore Dore silk socks, they were ok,however I bought many pairs of silk socks from your collection and I am amazed!!! There is absolutely no comparison. Your brand is by far the best, and look forward to purchasing more. Thank you so much Kirby

Kirby, I love your socks and wear them almost daily. Love the feel and length of the OTC socks and so very glad that you carry the larger sizes. I’ll be buying more diverse colors and types in the future, thanks for carrying such wonderful products!

I personally tend to wear Turnbull & Asser or Falke over the calf socks, Turnbull & Asser in a ribbed variety, and Falke in a shadow stripe.

Falke and Turnbull and Asser are both mediocre socks. Turnbull are better than Falke though but the socks in this video are in a completely different league I am afraid.

@@yacovlevi 100%. Turnbull&Asser is probably a Pantherella whitelabel, so they are okay. But the Italians are miles ahead. Falke doesn't even compare.

I get my cashmere, linen, cotton, and silk from mes chausettes rouge, a Parisian store. Can be purchased online. I find their sock quality to be amazing, and quite good pricing. The shipping cost is a mere 7 eur.

One of the most unfair things to men! people like me size 8.5 shoes could never find the right sock to wear no matter how much you pay! So what I started doing was to go to Female department and bought ladies sock :) excellent quality perfect size for me for less than $15

With the prevalence of casual dressing, it has become harder to find good quality accessories locally, and even via the internet for those of us who don't live in major metropolitan areas. Especially OTC socks; most that are available are mid-calf. I have found some options that you can order from Europe, but there are the delivery time and the cost of international shipping, etc. It's great to have a domestic option for OTC made from quality materials - and so much for my guess that it would be more ties!

I have a pair of small dot melange socks and really enjoy them, they are much better than the Panatherella Danvers small dot socks that I have. Like the color of the burgundy socks, but am wondering if I could wear them with a black, navy, light grey or medium grey suits that i own, any thoughts.

What do you if you have large calves? Every single pair of otc socks I've ever had I either cannot get over my calves, or I can but the sock doesn't stay up because the elastic wears out in 3-5 wears.

You need some in File D'Ecosse like these. The fabric stretches but it is washed in such a way that stretching out is nearly impossible.

Good morning from Alberta, Canada. I enjoy your video’s and often turn to channels like yours for advice and inspiration. I have a question I am hoping you can answer for me, I have heard you mention in previous video’s that the sovereign socks can last for many years. With the socks being so thin, how do you avoid wear on the ball and heal? Thank you for your time.

Not Kirby, but speaking from my own experience - rotate them. If you get 3-5 pairs and that's all you wear, you'll wear them down within a few years max, but closer to 10-20 pairs takes a lot of pressure off them. Also, you don't have to wash them after every wear! If you have good foot hygiene, keep cedar trees in your shoes, etc, at the end of an average day your sock will be in good enough shape that you don't have to wash before the next wear. I only do if I've sweat a ton or if I've worn 2-3 times already. Mercantilized cotton is almost as good as wool in wicking sweat and moisture. Of course, if your socks are wool, you have to wash half as often as cotton imo. On top of all of that, if your shoes fit well and your foot isn't sliding around inside of them (which is bad for your foot anyway), then that will also help with extending the life of the sock. I've been wearing decent OTC socks for around 3 years now after, like Kirby, finally discovering the benefits, and most of them feel almost as good as new!

@@troygrey3186 Hand washing is probably better but I've tried it in the past and it's the most boring time-consuming thing ever. I machine wash on the most gentle cycle I have with conservative use of light detergent, then I hang dry.

I don't want to sound bias but ties and socks reach a level of very high quality at "affordable" prices. But I must confess that this channel is using more often terms that are quite clickbait. At least there is a product that might be worth checking.
