Conor isn't washed because he lost to Poirier and Khabib, he's washed because he's 35 with a lifestyle that ages horribly and hasn't fought outside of twitter in 2 years
Tony Ferguson and Dominick Reyes looked bad in their losses. But Kamaru Usman, Conor McGregor, Tai Tuivasa, and Petr Yan all looked like they came to fight and put a good showing of themselves even in their losses.
Idk why people don’t understand this about Usman, his striking has peaked or improved if anytning and hasn’t declined working with Whitman, his wrestling has clearly declined since becoming champion because his bad knees, so he hasn’t totally declined it’s a tricky case
Yan isnt washed not even close to it, people who said that are casuals or haters or both, he beat O’Malley and he beat Aljo badly the first time until he threw that knee and arguably won the rematch, Merab is the only bad loss and Merab would do that to everyone in the division
1. Ferguson is done. 2. Usman is still world class. 3. McGregor is (probably) done. Too inactive to tell. 4. Tuivasa is your average fat heavyweight. 5. Reyes is checked out. 6. Yan was never a superstar. But he's probably the most competitive of the bunch
I literally fucked up dating a solid 8/10 hottie after she wanted to meet me and we were talking about what we were going to do , and I wrote : „I‘ll find something great we can do next week, TRUST!“ and then she never came to my town
Ikr it’s very odd how ppl just blindly count that as a loss, it’s the same as the Belal eyepoke or a groin shot imo. If Conor could have kept fighting and actually got finished or lost a decision I’d understand or if Dustin even caused it lol
I feel like usman and petr can still get wins over top guys but they don’t have a chance of becoming champions again. Tai Tuivasa could probably get a win outside the top 10. Tony looks like a 55 year old man and will never win a mma fight again in or out of the ufc and Conor is a millionaire coke head villain
tony ferguson- definitely washed, no need to explain that one tai tuivasa- i think he is washed, that pavlovich ko was brutal and he only took that cos he needed money, motivation ain’t there any more which sucks dominick reyes- definitely washed, if you’re a hard hitter you beat dominick reyes, which is literally the entire 205 division except maybe anthony smith but reyes would lose to smith as well petr yan- honestly not really, i know he’s lost 3 in a row but the losses weren’t bad, i guess we need to see how he does against song yadong, but for now i wouldn’t say he’s washed kamaru usman- no i don’t think he’s washed, will he ever be champion again? of course not but he can definitely win against the top dogs, only real losses were to edwards because that chimaev fight should’ve been a draw. conor mcgregor- i know mma fans don’t like to admit it but conors not washed, he was holding his own against khabib and dustin, was found good in the third fight too up until the guillotine, conor is past he’s prime of course but i don’t think he’s washed. there’s a good chance he goes out there and starches chandler. it’s not conors fighting that’s holding him back it’s his lifestyle, he takes years off inbetween which doesn’t help his career.
Conor had 2 years on top. Ans that was 7 years ago. People change and Conor isn’t the same person he was in 2016. He hasn’t proved he could beat anybody lately.
Guess whos been on coke and partying too whole his carrer... Jon Jones. Ofc its not helping Connor that hes been fucking around for years but he has half a year to get in shape and get his shit together. The fact that hes not on UFC 300 is his advantage imo. Still a 50-50 fight with Chandler.
@@bedtimemma But there is something above damage, though: The rounds that are won. I thought it was clear that Yan won 2/3 rounds. O'Malley best round was the 3rd (if I remember correctly) where he caused Yan to bleed
Where’s Yans damage?? He landed takedowns with no damage or long control time and OMalley dropped him in round 2, cut him in round 3, Yans best moment of the entire fight is the rock in r2 which is right after Sean dropped him with a right lol. But in Volk vs Islam, other fights, takedowns mean nothing 🤔
@@bedtimemma round 1 damage was at best equal, I don't see the damage O'Malley had over him that everyone is deluding themselves into believing. Round 2 Sean dropped him, but Yan dropped him too and that is the round that everyone unanimously agreed Yan won. The only round you can really give Sean is round 3
If he s an alcoholic or an addict as the rumours (and videos) suggest, than he loses to gordon unless he kos him fast. If u were of drinking age u d know what alcohol does to ur body 😂
Bedtime i love you but that’s not prime usman lol and colby got dominated by leon usman had close fights with leon colby didn’t win one round and usman vs chimaev was a draw
@@bedtimemma lol ? dude leon landed way more sig strikes than colby’s little shots that did nothing . cmon bedtime how r u gonna try to make colby look good?
People can't call Yan washed, look at his losses, he lost an incredibly close decision to Aljo where he was wing the last 2 rounds, he "lost" to the champ in a fight that most people say he won, and in the fan scoring numbers there are more people that think he won 30-27 than people that thought Sean won at all, and he lost to Merab when Merab has the one attribute that can allow you to be terrible but win by way of failing so much your opponent can't keep up lol, but it was a good performance from Merab. But if he's washed then those wins over him shouldn't rate very highly then, right?
@@j.a.g.8689Petr Yan has been overrated from the start. He beat no one significant on his rise to the belt and he got a undeserved title shot over Aljamain Sterling who beat Cory easier than Yan could and he fought him on a weeks notice people say Yan got robbed against O’Malley but the fact he had a razor thin to a guy with no ranked wins at the time just proves how overrated he is
@stevennlmb579 great points that I've been considering. I got into the sport recently. Right around the build up to the second Yan fight. I couldn't see and still don't see why people are always hyping him up
Yan and Usman are the ones I’m hoping can bounce back the most. They still have a chance at making a run for the title. I do think it’d be cool for McGregor to get a dub and retire tho.
Context is everything, numbers do not tell the full story, ie Usman is not really 0-3, he won that Khamzat fight or had a draw and in 13 rounds with Leon he won 9 of the rounds, that’s not the same as a Tony who is getting washed out.
There's a difference between being washed and having plateaued. Washed is a continuous downward trajectory for talent and/or physicality. Plateauing is you staying the same but the competition might get better.
Bruh this mf Lucastracy just be talking. "Jared gordon is a tough matchup for Connor" Boy aint no way. Dude has some of the most casual takes for someone who consumes as MMA media as he does.
Agree with most things but nah conor aint good no more. Hasnt fought in years and he definitley hasnt been training mma properly over that time. Also you cant say the poirier triology wasnt a loss. he was getting the shit beat out of him the whole round. Conor lowkey gets chinned by miller ngl
Was losing to Poirier but fight was stopped due to an injury Poirier didn't cause = loses to Jim Miller? 😂Bro even if he lost to Poirier that's an elite top 5 LW who's shown he can outstrike Holloway, Gaethje, Hooker etc. On McGregors worst day in the cage he put up the best fight against Khabib lol theres levels to this shit fr
@@bedtimemma but remember Those good performances your brining up legit happened last decade 😂 It’s not like he has lost to anyone bad It’s that he hasn’t been in a position to be evolving and working his skills Mans been rolling around in a wheelchair like Steven hawking on the island Doing lines on boats isn’t a good training Strategy
I agree with everything you say in this video but conor is as washed as it gets 😂 he looked so shit against Dustin in their 3rd fight and that was before he broke his fcking leg😅
Yan is good, just not as good as we thought. Cory Sandhagen is far and away his best win; his next best is the remains of Jose Aldo. He can’t seem to hang with most of the top contenders in their prime.
