Also about how our coaches saw how the incident is really propelling Gus into this transformation and maturation to a very responsible (and, yes, respectful) young adult as seen in his attitude change in his senior year. He’s becoming true to himself, and if SC holds on to him he’s another unicorn in the stable that I see developing.

I've stated before that I don't see many of Dabo's players in the portal either. It seems that whomever he recruits he keeps....

LR gets paid for making decisions on how he wants to build the program. Everyone is entitled to choices and consequences. I'm LR I spend my valuable time with people who buy in to me , USC and his staff. His arrow is headed in the direction he chooses. Each recruit has to fit within his direction . It's more important today to get a lot of recruits choosing not to be part of where he's headed. This way you know the recruits who choose in want to be here. You spend your valuable time on these people.

As a Nashvillian I can 100% confirm that Tennessee fans hate USC for no reason. But yes, it’s really the SEC as a whole. This part of the country thinks we’re soft… I remind them not to forget who schedules FCS schools and who doesn’t… “bueller”… “bueller”… fight on🤷🏼‍♂️

Wow! I had heard Cordova had an incident in high school but never the details. He doesn’t know how fortunate he is that his teammate only suffered a rash. A former Los Angeles Times food critic died when he accidentally ingested shellfish to which he was allergic. Food allergies are not a joke! Consider the fallout that would have occurred if his HS teammate had died. I think everyone was really lucky.

I should have added that Gus wasn't the only "prankster." The full story is out there online. John Canzano did an in-depth piece. I think everyone is just trying to move forward because while it could have been bad, it never got to the point where the young man's life was in danger.

If coach Henny is as good as everyone says he is (and I believe he is byw), then we will ride with what we have. If coach Lynn turned UCLA from 90th to 11th, why can't he change USC from 120th to about 25th? With better players! Pepe, Abiseri, Jones and others will be developed and produce. And they will be motivated beyond belief. Because everyone says they suck.. We'll just load the box and make people throw on us. That's our strength.. One of the best and deepest secondaries in the country. Just be decent which I think they will be. Great coaching helps which is what we have.. Let's see how this plays out.

@@LockedOnUSC only difference is dabo & Clemson have been against using the portal basically since it was created where as USC just flat out failed to bring in talent at certain positions.

I think Duane Morris is the most underrated, he’s one of the most explosive players in the entire class and has SEC offers

I think it’s on the coaching staff to develop the players on the team like they did before NIL and transfer portal. It’s probably going cost a lot to keep the 2025 recruiting class intact anyway

Marc, agree that it's not time to panic and SC should not pursue transfer portal prospects just because they need bodies or at any cost. With that said the current state of both lines is of concern and if SC does not win 9-10 games this next year, including any blow out losses, will put the current fantastic recruiting class in jeopardy.

Well the transfer portal to me can be good or bad but Lincoln said he wasn't using the portal as a rebuilding tool. Lincoln doesn't need portal players with one year left for a million dollars, get me. Lincoln needs youth with promise and the best in California and outside it, which ever comes first. Lincoln took over a problem that was made famous by Clay Helton. Player less development. California kids believing in everything other than the whole state of California. These kids think their better off leaving a state full of top institutions. Yet their finding out Alabama and Georgia Texas schools are not going to educate you like you think. Recruits need to think about a career or than football when their leaving California!!!

Under rated?? Hmmm Max Amasio of Bosco who has the best stats for a 5’9 DT 14 sacks 76 tkls 25 of those were for losses and not in the Top of the C/O 2025. and played against the Best in the Country Dutch Horisk 13 sacks 80+ Tkls again St John Bosco 2yr Starter played against 5 4⭐️ OT and he’s not the best edge rusher in his Class?? RANKINGS is a bunch of BS EPI Sitanilei St. John Bosco made it look easy at the Rivals Camp didn’t get MVP yet he only lost 1 rep Then shows up to UA camp did his thing got MVPf rotation guy on that BOSCO DL watch this film Played LB/Edge NT 3T rotating hell if I’m correct he played all 3 vs Cen10… NOW THAT UNDER RATED

I never heard of Max…I looked him up…listed at 5’10/235 and 1.5 sacks…didn’t see any tape, but height wise, that would be very short for a FBS D lineman. If SJB has a bunch of good players I’m surprised if our staff isn’t interested 🤷🏼‍♂️
