I have same chrome Shark Road pipes (different tips - all chrome) on my street glide for 4 years now. No rust on the exterior. No discolouring of the chrome. Inside seems to stain - could be moisture from the exhaust being trapped there. The stock pipes had same (but worst) rust coloured stain. Sounds good, deep but not overly loud.
I put some no baffle shark roads on my 17’ Road King Special and they sound great, i took it for a little ride to check them out they are loud, i didn’t notice any popping, my pipes are matte black so no problem with discoloration, i put wax on the tips in and out too
La totally awesome from the dollar store works great for that issue been using it for years does not hurt finish spray it on let it sit and rinse it off
I have the Shark Road Mufflers as well and I am starting to think they might be a little loud on long hills and whatnot they start to drone out I am gonna look at different pipes possibly in Spring this Video brought me here but now I am gonna stay a while lol new sub here so ty from Vermont
I just installed these pipes on my 03 Ultra Classic and they sound great.If i start to get the same discolor i will just switch sides on the tips to keep them even
That's what I have done. I've been following up with polish occasionally, and it has made a difference. Still love the sound though. Good pipes for the money.
Just discoloration issues on the right side tip, which I just keep hitting with metal polish to get rid of. But that is due to the fact that it's a carbureted bike, with the "fake dual exhaust" setup. Still love the pipes. Great setup for the money. Thanks for watching!
Mine have discolored a little, so I've had to spend time with polish to keep them from doing it. I think any aluminum will do it at some point. For the price, they were still well worth it though.
@@kalways_kustoms I put some "cheap" after markets on mine. She seems to give pop in between gears. But sounds good enough to not care too much. They are straight through, so it's probably to be expected. I've been doing some minor upgrades to mine over the winter. I had open brain surgery this past November, so it's really limited what I'm able to do for a bit. With any luck, I may even be able to ride her this summer. Once the snow melts enough to get her outta the shed, I'll upload an updated walk around vid. I'm subbed to you, so I look forward to following you along your projects with the bike.

I have thought about doing that, however it matches the theme I have going with my mirrors and fork boots. If they do end up getting stained to the point where they won't come clean, I may do something like that. Thanks for watching!
