@@flatbrokegarage It's rare as heck; this was the last of the Falcon line and sales were poor. It's also the only car which Ford themselves referred to in half-year terms.
Awesome to see you both Bill and Phil, awesome show Bill, gotta save what you can and afford, looking forward to the next instalment video 📹 Cheers 🍻🍻🇦🇺🇦🇺🤝🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👌🦘🦘🌨🌨❄️❄️🏔🏔
Good old forest fishing ❤love it thank u Bill for sharing keep up the good work hopefully u have room for them can't wait for the future awesome job and once again thank u tha k u for being awesome 👍
Well my hats off to you for sure getting these cars out of some pretty tricky locations. Both good parts cars and with a bit of work one might be a runner eventually. That F350 you looked looks like a pretty solid truck to me. Thanks for showing us another video adventure.
For sure, torino parts a expensive and hard to find. We are I'm the middle of a budget rebuild on the mustang engine. At least I'll have a spare. Thanks for watching!
Can box the main frame if it not to far gone & there is also replacement front & rear sub assemblies & believe there is panels but their really cheesy nowadays, the drivetrain is YUGE! if one can be cobbled from the two your gold, one seems to be for parts that’s how we did it back in the day
corner walls always catch them long cars like truck bumper they all talk good tow rig moved with small trailer have car will travel lot guys worked were the work was
@@flatbrokegarage yes I seen that also and all that together I’m better it was a moonshine runner maybe next week you can bring that up on a video!!! By for now Jerry from Grant in north Alabama
You found yourself a couple of genuine early 70's Ford Leaverite Woodies. You must be really hard up for somewhere to spend your money and something to do. It could save your life to learn how to use a winch safely.
that 4 door torino is not worth much being a 4 door,as nobody wants those to restore but there good for parts cars for the 2 doors guys are restoring them like the front clip and trunk lid.
2 door I would deffinetly save not even a thought .4 door take off the front clip ,drive train, rear end . Part/Scrap the rest . Love to see you older (no offense) guys, still out there pulling cars out the woods keeps me motivated .
Don't even know what condition that 4 door is in yet so why say to just save the front clip, and drivetrain and scrap the rest? Wouldn't it make more sense to find out what condition it is in before declaring it to be a few parts and the rest being scrap or are you one of the people who think if a car is not a 2 door it is automatically only good for parts? 4 doors are not only more affordable but are also more practical and convenient than 2 doors, and for some they are a necessity
@@todddenio3200 I own 4 doors , even a six door . . I drive a 1974 van everyday for work . Rolled a million miles . I’m not into junking anything worth saving but a four door Torino sitting in the woods for 30 years . Please, we both know the underside is completely rotted . Bushings rotted out , wiring is toast and 4 doors interiors so easy to find replacement parts for , plus it an opinion it’s ok for people to have a different one than yours . It’s what makes us special .
Looks as if someone was once doing some serious towing with the Falcon. Those coil springs above the leaf springs were “helper” springs and probably installed by a U-Haul or camper dealer’s shop. Them, along with the coil over shocks, tell me that it was pulling some serious weight (not just messing around with a utility or homemade truck bed trailer). I could just imagine it pulling a ‘60s era “canned ham” camper back in it’s time. I am sure it would have some stories to tell. Hopefully, you’ll find it worth keeping and saving! It must been one of very few 2 door ‘70 1/2 Falcons lucky enough to have a V8 and an automatic made and still existing? Hopefully, the 4 door can provide the damaged or missing pieces … and maybe the factory A/C? Nice score … but I don’t envy you working in the hot, snake infested TN woods to save it!
I agree. They must have pulled something big. A buddy sent me info on V8 Falcons. They only built 5300 2 door V8 Falcons in 1970.5. So I guess I should definitely save it
The guy down the street from me in Sacramento California bought his new and it is completely original, 302 with a c4 I believe he said, and it has no rust. Just patina from sitting in his driveway.
Hi there mate the 1970s model looks great looking cars i only seen 1969 model car like that and the hapcap on the 7o i had the caps on my zc 1969 fairlane Australia car mate and like the American Fords too great looking cars from the 50s 60s 70s 80s
You whine a lot all you did is complain I hope the owner didn't hear you weren't they free.if you didn't want them you should have left them I'm sure someone else doing u tube would like them.
First off, they were NOT free, as I first thought. The owner is totally cool with me. Not a single other person would come and get them, not even the scrap guys. So if the whining bothered you, sorry
clean it out real good to get a good look at everything ...if just the floors or rotted its not a big deal...look at the shock towers ford rot too..i like this car
People are ridiculous. Park a car and no preservation precautions taken whatsoever! Exactly what do they think will happen to the car? Then most still think they are worth thousands!
4:15 caretaker??lol yeah right,im not sure if he knew what a caretaker is??i would not want him being a (caretaker) to anything i have.so sad how he just left them to rot away!!
very defintion of sweat equity shineing like well oil been thier get more like that seeing someone else drive your car like someone with old girl some guy dont like so rather keep them till the end plus lot guys know care take for them
Hey Bill love your channel and I would like to say on those stubborn brakes that have been sitting for 20 plus years I just chisel off that back plate that holds the bracks on you know the one with the press spring cut that off the backing plate and then the brakes are free to pull the drum off
If you find that has a bad engine, I would not mind taking that. I got a 351W that I want to build. I am looking for a roller of some kind to put it in.
The two door needs to be saved if underneath isn't rusted completely out and what ever happened with your daughter's project mustang I been waiting for another video and started hoping everything was OK
I'm going to save the 2 door. The mustang is moving forward. It the next video. I'm doing a quick rebuild on the 302 had to wait on parts. She works 2 jobs, but has taken a few days off to come up. So hang in there. It's the next video
@flatbrokegarage glad to hear you are going to save it and I understand about the money situation and I guarantee you I will be here watching and liking your videos and that's a promise

I’ve had a long standing argument with a couple of friends about the existence of a Torino bodied Falcon. They seem to be rare in Canada, but Fomoco also rebadged the Mercury Montego as a Comet in 1968-69. I have a’68 Montego in 1980, while my neighbour had the same year Comet.
You're right. To me, the 70 Ausie falcon looks like a cross between a US 70 Mustang and a 69 Ford falcon. This generation Falcon/Torino is very close to the 73 Falcon XB GT, the famed pursuit special. It's one of my all-time favorite cars
Those original wheel covers from the two door would look nice on it though. They are the same as the ones that were on my old 70 Torino. @@flatbrokegarage
The first car I ever restored was a 70 Fairlane 500 Torino. 302 with a C4 and factory towing package posi . Same green color. After headers, 4 barrel and hemi orange paint. I drove that car across the country twice. I sold it prior to my first deployment. I miss that damn car lol
