Doomberg and Justin Huhn bring their expertise in the energy sector to this in-depth panel on uranium and nuclear energy to discuss both the positive developments and challenges they currently see facing the nuclear sector. The duo provide both a macro overview of uranium and nuclear, along with discussing the recent performance of uranium stocks, their strategies for dealing with volatility in the market, and much more.

Datacenters are going gangbusters. I install and service their battery backup systems and the work is non-stop. People just do not understand the electrical consumption if these nondescript buildings are the same as an average city. In states like Oregon just Amazon datacenters take a significant portion of their electricity consumption.

Jesse, New to Doomberg. Does he give specific investment advice in his newsletter or is it all analysis and commentary? Thanks

The Q put to both speakers asked them to address Supply and Demand. Neither addressed demand in any substantive manner and focused solely on Supply. Would like to see a focus on demand under the hood...what are NPP Operators up to - in the US, Europe etc for actual operating facilities.

As at Dec 2023 there were 413 operating power reactors in the world with a combined generating capacity of 371.5 GW. Additionally, there are 61 reactors under construction and 110 reactors planned, with a combined capacity of 68 GW and 110 GW, respectively, while 321 more reactors are proposed.

Demand has been talked about to death. Still valuable though. Demand far exceeds supply as far as the eye can see.

That's high level 50k ft view - and doesn't expose what regions or large NPP Operators may be doing that impacts price in the near to medium timeframe

The situation in Germany is very distressing, sad, worrying. Ukraine will be the first victim of political developments in Germany.

@@jkelly11785 The fact that AfD is so popular is a sign of the situation. The last time Germans were attracted to a far-right party bad things happened. The current government has a very stupid energy policy - shutting down the nuclear power plants was a disastrous mistake. Increased energy costs are driving industry out of Germany.

@@gibboglewell, last time there was a conservative uproar was in the early nineties (Reps, BFB). However, in the old times, the momentum could be crushed using the usual tactics. Now, more Germans have understood that the traditional CDU is no longer representing conservatives.

Indeed, I've stopped watching Doomberg because of the poor-quality audio he frequently broadcasts.

What is "The world's energy problem"? -> "Global conventional crude oil production peaked in 2008 at 69.5 mb/d and has since fallen by around 2.5 mb/d." (Page 45 of the World Energy Outlook 2018 by the International Energy Agency.) Is "Nuclear (Uranium, Thorium, Tritium, etc.) THE SOLUTION" to it? -> NO. Why? -> Orders of magnitude: It's impossible to replace the Ghawar Oil Field, 225-km long and 25-km wide, with anything built by humans.
