Well done fellas, the Madigan looks like a real slog in parts, those downhills looked very tough, the shrubs whacking you would add an annoying element too I bet. Interesting you say you wouldn't do it again, has this changed after getting home and reflecting? I know I feel that way often during a ride, but afterwards I flip and become keen again when the memory of the pain has faded. Cheers for the shoutout, and looking forward to the next video!
Would I do it again? Hmmmm probably not the same way, i.e. unsupported. There's just too much gear and fuel to take. It would be a great ride with a backup 4wd.
Great videos guys. We just crossed starting on the the 4th of September. Yep great fun on a fully loaded bike. You did not miss much seems the full Madigan is not available anymore from camp 16 (the blaze tree) east 😢. There is a road closed sign and it seems it will be closed for the foreseeable future even though we had permission from the Station to proceed. With the Hey river track and the diversion on the crossing it was 850 klm. Which tested my fuel range a bit. Well done tough little track enjoyed every minute of it.
Hey mate enjoy your video as always. Did the Madigan couple of years ago supported on the DRZ good to know the fuel economy unsupported. Had 7200kms in the desert this winter including the Canning very overgrown. Well done.
Love these videos! Keith, I noticed you seem to have a new Arai in this series. Im currently looking for goggles to wear over my glasses that fit the Arai opening and wont put downward pressure on my nose. What goggles are you using? I enjoy the content and i'm looking forward to whats next!
