You shloud take it to the land rover factory in Poland, they are rebuilding defenders Just Google land rover factory Poland. You bought one of your cars i Poland so maybe its Time to visit again
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland Thanks for the updates hope to see the Landy in the yard soon. I will say hi when I drive past again Lee cheers mate! Hopefully snap a pic next time🤣
Don't ever doubt forward motion. You two are very much all about that. Love your open positive attitudes. Stephy thankyou for all the incredible hard work you've ben doing. Especially lately with your hubby away. You truly are a miraculous achiever. Love your 'never say no' so generous nature. 😇🥰
Thank you for bringing us along on your Build. It looks like things are coming together very well. I'm excited i'm sure along with you to see the finished product. Looking forward to your next video, Please stay healthy and sa tell the next one.
usually, Africa is viewed as a Continent with supply problems for spares, it's interesting that the full rebuild is being done in Africa and done orderly. Well done to all involved.
@@alwynvanwyk1851I think South Africa is definitely bigger than Australia for the Land Rover scene. We are seeing far more Land Rovers on the road here than we ever saw in Australia and we haven't even left the Western Cape yet...
Vraiment bluffant Stephanie
Very nice job on the video Stephy. I hope he has come together well for you and works out for exactly how you wanted him to change. Not a negative just a point of interest the way bear was tied down would not be legitimate in the USA, you need to tie each wheel or to the axle separately, you cannot run through a wheel to the other side wheel. 4 corner separate tie down for safety. Stay safe and healthy.
Didier
11:38: I'd grind those sharp edges smooth mate...the friction of the type of terrain you guys are driving over will slowly cut through your electrical wiring...I know it's a pain and most will think I'm crazy, but rather be safe than sorry! Lekker bly.
If you guy's run out of time with your visas then all you need to do is go to iSawatini (formally Swaziland) or Lesotho for a few days and then you can come back to SA and get a new visa again. My friend from Wales did that. Car's coming along very nicely.
Only if you get lucky. The South African immigration are getting stricter on border hopping. The actual rule is that you must return to your home country. Depends on the border guard...
Pokrywanie nowych blach (dużą ilością) masy szpachlowej w aucie 4x4 ,to zawsze jest zły pomysł. Podczas jazdy blachy "pracują" ,a szpachla będzie...pękać . Kolejna naprawa lakiernicza ?
At the end Bear will be a Rhyno. Every day this adventire gets greater and greater. Those Landies, the 6x6 and the one with Seven doors... Ufff!! ¡¡Pura Vida from the other side of the world!!
We estimated 6 months so pretty much on schedule. We never had any time limit and just went with the flow. Ours is a never ending overland journey and this is part of that journey 😍
I cannot understand why LR did not make the cabin bigger as you have done. Ok for medium built people as am I but no room for taller and more heavily bodied persons. There were always little things that would have been so easy to improve that LR simply ignored.
Guess they did the maths and decided it wasn’t worth it. I’m a larger guy and I’m fine in my defender, fitted different seat rails which means the seat goes further back, wish I had room for my right arm though🤷♂️
@@Jabber-ig3iwI think he's talking about a single cab. In a Defender single cab you can't put the seats back further that's why we opted for a small cab extension.
Don't just drive into any informal settlements! This is South Africa, and the crime rate is extremely high! Especially when people see you don't really know what is going on. Stay on the main roads, be vigilant at all times, and don't just pick up people, even women!! Sorry to say but in our dear country all of those things are long gone. Ask people who know the area you are in, which is the safest rd and places. Otherwise, enjoy your visit😀😄😊
Hey Steph n Liegh❤ Caught a glimps of our shirt at start. So glad to see your dream ride coming into shape. We sold my 200 conversion recently. It was a dream build for me an don’t regret it one bit. Cheers Ian n Louise
Great episode, I can imagine the stress and trepidation behind the scenes but it will definitely be worth it 💪🏻 Thanks for the weekly dose of movitation 😎
Looking good so far can’t wait to see the next video Of the build . These shop videos have been fun to watch, as if we are part of the hole build, and the journey you two are on and sharing with all of us . Thanks again for sharing your wonderful journey with us all your over landing friends . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :) :) 🌍🍻👍🏼😁
Just a thought, LR have a specific manual for mounting trays etc to the Defender chassis. The vast majority of trays and or camping canopies I’ve seen (in person or on the web) do not mount them correctly..
@2:00 thats a ton of mud on that panel. I'm no body man but from what I've seen from real experts, that may not last long term. Then again, as I said, I'm not an expert myself. Overall though I've got to say those guys are really doing a ton of work on that Landy. Its coming along nicely.
I think you've made the right decision but I wonder if you'll miss the convenience of having the rear space to dump stuff? Have you seen any of Britannica Restorations' video's? Mike, the owner, did a very tidy mod' on a 130 double-cab where he shortened the cab but also shortened the rear doors (making them about 12" wide IIRC) and left them fitted to provide access to the storage area behind the seats.
