I am a revert of less than 1 year. I live at least 100 miles away from the nearest Muslim, 150 miles from the nearest masjid, and I live alone in a rural area. For those like myself, finding support on-line is definitely the "Wild West" of misinformation and predators. I rely a lot on building a personal library of books on my own, but essentially life feels like an "ummah of one."

I was a revert,but later went back to Christianity,but the love I have for Islam didn't go away,am back now learning little by little,my relationship with some Muslims around me was not ok,but am on my own now studying online mainly.i so much love Islam,and I will like to learn more

As a new Muslim Revert most Daw'ah centers will be happy to give information as well as Shahadah but no follow-up. I feel like a fish out of water learning from youtube and asking my Muslim sister by birth lots of questions. Also most new Muslim classes are far from me.

Salam. My convert experience was the same in the muslim capital of America... I have been a Muslim for 7 years now. At the time Everyone was too busy so I had to teach myself to pray, If you need help learning to pray in arabic I can send transliteration notes I prepared for some other converts I found having the same issue, Big enough to print and read off floor if you are just starting with praying in arabic

Sadly for most of us reverts, going to the masjid is a huge detriment instead of benefit. I have to steer clear in order to preserve my faith. I’m relationships, I have a couple good friends but keep it very surface level with others because of past experiences. Alhamdulillah I still love Islam but it’s not easy.

Awesome podcast, super smart questions! As a convert I would say that most Muslims scholars or Immans have forgotten that most of us don’t know Arabic so when listening to lectures, especially duas, I have absolutely no idea what they meant. So even if I try to learn through transliteration my mind is not connected to the duas because I have no ideas what they meant. I hope Yaqueen will make some series for converts. Jak

There is an awful lot of harshness and overstepping of boundaries, sometimes even of the laws which Allah has given us, within the Muslim community. However that affects all of us whether lifelong believers or reverts! And that is a reminder to reverts to remember why we are doing this. It’s not to join a club or get to wear cool clothes, or hang out with our favorite people group. We change right down to our souls and the only One we should do that for is Allah. Only read Quran and saheeh Hadith, do not listen to community without asking questions and comparing it against the sound guidance we’ve already received! Don’t take shahadah to be well received. Take it because you know Allah is Lord and Mohammed is His messenger and servant.

someone i know left because she doesnt accept why god allows innocent children to suffer horrific crimes and become collateral damage in the workings of the world. for me it is the notion of different rules for genders but im not a convert so im not leaving. she was a convert for years.

Ultimately you all shall return to God then He will show you the truth of those matters in which you '' >DISPUTE verb < not noun like other religions Islam mean "submission" to God ( The above verse saying is that God will not accept a religion from the >MUSLIM< and the Non-Muslims but total "submission" to God ) Question: How Can Muslim And the Non-Muslim "submit" to the God? Answer: Be kind to other human beings and Do not lie, Do not steal, Do not cheat, Do not hurt others, Do not be prideful and Do the charity work. Note: If you obeyed all the ABOVE Allah-God's moral laws "YOU" submitted to God.( ie Islam mean "submission" to God ) The only people who will enter Paradise those who '' Submitted to God '' ( ie by good deeds ) God does NOT accept your religion of birth but only ''Your Total'' Submission to Him. ( God Allows Interfaith Marriages And Eat Food From the Christian And Jew And Vice Versa ) Quran 5:5 ''This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture (ie Christian and Jew) is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. And [lawful in marriage are] chaste women from among the believers (ie Muslim ) and chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture (ie Christian and Jew) before you, when you have given them their due compensation, desiring chastity not unlawful sexual intercourse or taking [secret] lovers. And whoever denies the faith - his work has become worthless and he in the Hereafter will be among the losers.'' Note: > Only < Islam allows interfaith marriages (>14 hundredsSame God< but They are >ALL Corrupt< more or less, some more than others from their original foundational teaching. The older religion are MORE corrupted than newer religion. Question to Muslim and Christian: Does God / Allah only answer your pray ? And God / Allah does not answer non Muslim / non Christian pray? Did Allah '' Canceled '' all other religions Judaism and Christianity? Quran 5:48 '' And We have revealed to you [O Muhammad] the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture ( ie New and old Testament ) and as a criterion over it.
