I’ve been playing this game with friends just using the website. This game is fun af and everyone should try and play with their friends.

Yeah, my first answer was 'Years, serving'. Probably too good an answer for the question for someone that knows me, though.

I mean technically you can only be on the base itself for days/ months because navy/marines are often deployed on ships not necessarily bases, either way...30 minutes is a no-no

This, absolutely all of my this. Been watching the Corridor/Node boys plays this for years and always thought AH would be hilarious playing this; But a crossover would be next level.

@@Andrew-tr1nr My guess, if there's a lot of people at a military base, somethings probably going wrong.

I think the roles are there to make it easier for the spy which is why they didn't see any reason to implement them in their answers.

@@Ghostneedle1 In my experience the roles help everyone about the same amount, they help the spy narrow down the options, but also help isolate the spy more since everyone else has a role and those roles can be figured out and can fit into multiple locations. So if someone asks a person who has a bouncer role "What do you plan to accomplish by being here?" or something along those lines, then they can reply, "I'm just trying to keep the riff raff out" which does give some more information to the spy, but anyone who is not the spy could figure out what that person is and eliminate them from their suspicions by figuring out that they are a bouncer.

@@Ghostneedle1 plus the game is a lot more fun for everyone if the spy has somewhat of a fighting chance at blending in and figuring out the location than if everyone is vague to the point that everyone who knows the location knows who the spy is because they eliminated everyone else by having questions and answers that were so vague that you'd barely understand even if you had the location already. I played a round with my friends where we decided to be as vague as possible, we figured out who the spy was by asking stuff that you would have no way of knowing without the location such as resources in the area, and what time it could be based on the card which was space station and my friend said it could be anytime and he was the second to last person to be cleared and we called out the spy, we were right and he had no information based on three questions and the answers, metal, its probably the air and anytime. So the roles also keep you from basically making it impossible for the spy to guess for his final shot after being found out without getting lucky. So the game is a lot more fun with the roles since you can ask about the environment and the people around you while being vague but not so vague that the spy has no chance at all to even blend in let alone figure it out. Being vague is good but to vague is boring, this is also from experience, I once played a game on Tabletop simulator with a group of people where all but one person used roles and we thought he was the spy cause anytime someone ask something that would pertain to his role, he would be extremely vague, such as "What do you like to do here?" "Breathe", "What do you think of this place?" "It exists" and "How long have you been in this location?" "An amount of time." By the way the location was casino and he wasn't trying to be funny or sarcastic cause when we accused him of being the spy and were wrong he got upset that we didn't know he wasn't the spy and that it was someone else who's answers were more believable even if we weren't using roles cause she blended in by being just vague enough such as the first question she got, "Do you like it here?" "I think this place is fun so yeah", she was the first person to get asked a question. She thought we were at a club, we were at a casino but since we guessed wrong cause we had no information on the other guy cause he was way to vague to not be the spy, so the spy won. For the record the dude just couldn't understand how we could possibly think it was him since Casino's exist, you can breathe there, and could spend an amount of time at them and not the actual spy who gave better answers even when she had no information about where we were and even asked better questions than he did.

According to rules I found online, there is allowed to be a discussion period after time runs out. Its supposed to be done more formally though, one by one people make an accusation which everyone discusses and then votes on, which continues until the vote is unanimous, or everybody has made an accusation.

Couple post watch thoughts: You guys really can't judge the spy based off of finger location... lol Ryan's answers are clearly too clever for everyone I'm shocked Jeremy's lying skills have not translated to this game very well

Treh being very gestural was the best bit from all the cast, IMO.

Considering I only got the reference when they mentioned the question again later, I’d have a hard time answering that lol

I honestly thought it was because of the cities and airports, then I saw Hotel on Ryan's card and it all just clicked because Jeremy is the music man

The funny thing for me is the second I saw Hotel bits of the lyrics were going through my head looking for cheeky references and I never even caught "California" until they pointed it out!

It took me 8 minutes to figure it out. Your queston probably woulda taken me 20

@@squidbit4353 Uh, no. If a non-spy gets unanimously voted, the spy automatically wins. If the spy can ever name the location, the spy automatically wins. These are two *separate* routes to victory, the spy doesn’t have to do them both. Fredo would’ve won the moment Michael was unanimously voted, he wouldn’t have needed to name the location.

If they played from their rolls, it might be a bit easier on the spy.
