Are We Still Christian, Living for Content & Real Pregnancy Thoughts 

I feel like if people don’t know you’re Christian it’s because they don’t watch you. I’ve been watching y’all and Kaelin and Kyrah for years now, I’m around the same age and y’all definitely influenced me to seek a God-centered relationship. I grew up Christian but you inspired me further to cultivate a closer relationship with God and to hopefully not lose hope and one day raise my family under similar Christian values. Love you guys❤️

I understand not wanting to be called "Christian Influencers", but as Christians which means Followers of Christ; Here's the thing: God is loving but also just so we must speak His truth. We must fear God more than we fear what the world thinks of us when we spread the gospel. At the same, we must always extend kindness to everyone even if we don’t agree with their choices when it doesn’t align with biblical truth. As Christians, we are called to spread the good news and to share our faith in Jesus! 🤍 1 Peter 3:15 says: "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect."

I hear y’all on not having to be like other “Christian influencers”, but before influencer, you’re a believer. So regardless of what your job is, which is a blessing, right, being a believer would be who you are? When you’re a true follower of Christ, everything you do and say pours from that. Maybe people are just interested in hearing more about your faith. As a believer myself, that’s how I relate to people in this crazy world because you got the kingdom of light and kingdom of darkness. But this is a personal thing and would be something you’d have to take to the Lord and see what you feel about sharing and how to go about it. Doesn’t mean you have to come out the gate sharing controversial stuff, although sharing the true gospel truth can be offensive as is. I don’t think you need to start podcasting Bible topics or anything, but maybe people wanna just hear more about Jesus in your life🤷🏻‍♀️❤

I come from a Bible based church and we now pastor a Bible based church so your statement was valid! I don’t want to attend a church that doesn’t convict me, doesn’t preach about sin, and just gives me a motivational speech! I want to leave CHANGED, not the same! So we get it! My husband and I have a virtual church that meet on Tuesday nights at 7pm and Sunday mornings at 10am called Adapt Church JXN on Facebook. We will be starting our live broadcasts on RU-vid starting May 5! We don’t beat you down with the word but we definitely give you the Bible and keep something on your mind!

Before I even watch this I am so saddened by people that cannot just understand you do not have to preach Jesus down everyone's throat in order for people to understand you are believers. I can see it clear as day by the fruit of how you guys live your life and I am sad that you have to make sure people know "just because we don't talk about him, we are christians." that is a show and not how actual followers follow Jesus. People need to stop judging and appreciate the content you guys put out because it is truly amazing and SOO refreshing to my spirit. I love you guys so much. Keep pushing.

Yeah being a Christian and not being strictly faith based content is a fine line bc as a Christian watcher I definitely desire to see more into y’all’s faith journeys sometimes but also completely understand y’all are just lifestyle vloggers and will always rock with y’all cause I know y’all are just doing the do and know y’all will reach more people without being so outward about their faith.

I’m someone who’s currently in the process of trying to figure out my spirituality. Grew up in the church, but experienced a lot of church hurt that pushed me away from my faith. In my journey of rediscovering what I believe and what religion means to me, your content has helped me a ton. I feel like part of my healing in this journey has come from people like you, who show me what it truly means to live in the image of God. It inspires me daily.

Josh, you’re overthinking it 😂 I think your family has made it very evident (in one of the best ways on social media these days might I add) that you love God and are centered around Him. Non believers need to see that believers aren’t always the people who are “overdoing it” like it can feel sometimes to them. Keep it up and pat yourselves on the back!

The thing is, if your lifestyle vloggers or family vloggers and the biggest part of your life (your faith) isn’t obvious …idk. not saying every other word needs to be Jesus or every video needs to be about that but if sooo many people are saying the same thing that might be saying something…coming from a long time subscriber

One of the things that came to mind while watching this video is that is this current time, as a Christian you cannot get away from defending your faith. I understand what you all were addressing in terms of your channel being a lifestyle vlog but do not think that you will get away from having to defend your faith and your way of life which is influenced by the Word. Josh, I totally agree with your statement that pastors are Ted-talking the Bible. I've actually been observing the same thing. And people did not have an appropriate response to your comment. For me, being Christian while being a content creator doesn't mean you need to be dissecting scripture right through. However, I personally won't mind seeing y'all talk about relevant topics using Word of God. Why? Because you are on a platform where you have the opportunity to share or to influence persons. Why not take the opportunity to let your light shine for Christ by sharing Godly perspective. I'm not saying y'all aren't already doing it. But I'm just giving a push in that direction because the world needs Jesus right now. Because I know my comment will just be more text under your post, lemme say that I'm not criticizing you guys, I actually watch your videos and have been following the channel for years. I just can't help but see how times are changing and the world needs to hear more Jesus and less of other things.

I come from never married parents so I first started watching you guys as encouragement for a Christ centered loving relationship. And you guys have exemplified that and more. I love your comments about teaching from the Bible! I personally love Calvary Chapel Albuquerque and Skip Heitzig and Waxer (David) Tipton at One Love Hawaii because they teach from the Bible. I know you guys are living in Hawaii right now and One Love is an amazing church. We went there when we used to live in Hawaii :)

It is kind of ridiculous that people want to pick at you for that comment. Just as Sav said there is absolutely no reason why you need to defend yourself because that is exactly what you should have said. Any Christian should be looking for a church that preaches the Bible and not a motivational talk which has become a huge problem in our culture. God bless y'all for speeching the truth. Keep going! I’m saddened that we have a lost generation who needs the answer and both of you have the solution- JESUS CHRIST. There is a cost to walking with Christ, but the price is too expensive for your platform and preferences. The spirit is not limited to making “christian content” and being a “christian influencer.” Nor is expressing God limited to how you parent. A lifestyle with Jesus Christ is simply following the Holy Spirit and His commands (not some of them). As believers, we are all called to the great commission. Spirit knows spirit, and the content you post via Shorts is trendy and your podcasts/vlogs are void of God’s fullness. If Jesus is Lord, then why isn’t it evident in your daily lifestyle beyond how you parent? The problem is: You limit God to your preferences to avoid controversy or “fear of pushing it down people’s throats” by giving us a 2 second scripture at the end of each video and just “Being positive.” How many disciples have been made from your platform? In a past podcast, you said this RU-vid Channel was your “ministry”, but you deny being Christian influencers. Don’t describe this as a ministry if you are not creating disciples. This is simply a lifestyle channel with motivating elements. Keeping y’all in prayer! God bless y’all!

The term, “testimony,” derives from the Hebrew word, uwd, which means to “do again.” Your testimony shows people that God is in the business of doing it again and again and again. Not just for you, but for anyone else. Why wouldn't you want to share your testimonies? Remember, Jesus Christ gets all the glory. God's Word tells us to share our hope as a believer. Not only do our testimonies represent us coming to Christ, but they can also continue to bring others to Him when we share them. We overcome by the blood of the lamb and the Word of our testimony.

If anyone is looking for a Bible based church look for a Calvary! Calvary Houston has an app. Pastor Ron has every single sermon he does on there. We go book to book word for word through the Bible every Sunday and Wednesday. It’s an amazing church and I know there are many more of them. I believe Pastor Ron knew Pastor Chuck Smith and even worked with him and he attended the Costa Mesa church that Jesus Revolution is based on.

My church is Athey Creek and our pastor is the MOST biblical based pastor I’ve ever seen. It’s in west Linn OR and the best church I’ve ever been apart of. He teaches through the Bible, book by book chapter by chapter, verse by verse and doesn’t skip a beat. We are currently in the book of John and he teaches Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings! You guys should stream online or go in person! They have an amazing childcare too and I just couldn’t love it more

1. I’m with you these new age churches are motivating and not biblical at all, the h don’t talk about the real deal stuff. I’m so thankful I have a real pastor who was truly called to the ministry. We are being taught the Bible and being by pumped up. 2. Y’all can be Christians and not talk about your faith or Jesus 24/7! My husband is a minister and we have a normal life and we aren’t talking about the lord every hour. People have a misconception on what being Christian and living looks like. Y’all are living a Jesus lead life byway of the Bible.

I think conviction can feel like defending yourself. I definitely feel this way at times when I know it’s things I do that don’t make me look like a Christian to the outside world. It’s almost as if you make your channel more about Christianity, then you have to live the lifestyle and you know you’ll be judged more? I do respectfully feel like the videos have become a bit different than what they used to be. Letting others know you’re Christian isn’t defending, it’s a part of the job we have. A platform this big is a blessing to be able to bring others to God.

I’m sorry you are in so much pain Savannah! I’ve only been pregnant twice but my pregnancy with my son was SO much more painful. Rarely did I not feel pain. Sitting in the recliner and sometimes laying down on my side with pillows helped. Magnesium helped me at night too! I hope you find relief! The reward we get at the end makes it all worth it 💙

If you claim to follow Jesus, you are indeed a Christian influencer whether or not you believe yourselves to be. People will hold you to a standard. You should be loud and proud about Jesus. The whole purpose of life as Christian’s is to be about Jesus’s business. We have to be sure we don’t love the world more than Him.

To be really honest, you guys were a breath of fresh air for me because for a good while I was only watching milena’s podcast and videos , and don’t get me wrong I love her videos but sometimes I can’t help but feeling like it’s so far from reality. Watching you guys makes me feel like I can be a Christian and dance, have fun, be a normal human and do human things rather than just be very uhm I don’t wanna say uptight but it is uptight.

I think maybe people are talking or comparing to other creators like Milena and Jordan that you would never have to question because their whole ministry is Jesus and their whole platform is to bring Him glory but I feel like they have changed a lot over the years. But I think that’s a good podcast talk for y’all both to dive deeper into. Because Peter was a disciple and everyone thought he was all about Jesus but then he went and denied Jesus 3 times.

i think ppl hear “christian” and have a preconceived idea of what that “should” look like. there are christian content creators, and creators who are christian. either way, people are quick to comment and VERY quick to judge which is icky 🥴 love you guys!

I personally believe that Sunday church is for fellowship and worship and then there are small groups during the week for bible study that go into depth on what Sunday touched base on. I am sure all churches run differently though depending on how large the congregation is. btw you too are sooooo cute. I am not sure how long I have been watching but it has been before baby 2 was born. FYI... don't change the way you run your content because you have followers for a reason. there are creators/influencers who ONLY focus on Jesus and spreading the word and we NEED those and we love them!! of course our first job as Christians is to witness to people and spread the faith. but as a Christian, i can also say its SOO hard to find content that is clean but not a sermon or testimony. i don’t want to consume faith based content 24/7, i find it hard to believe anyone who says they do. my husband and i talk all the time about how we need more clean, entertaining content. i feel convicted watching content that has cussing, lusting, etc so we need people like you guys who just create a family-friendly environment but also love Jesus. point blank period. also, a church being held accountable for teaching the word of Jesus Christ is completely different from being a content creator on social media. you’ve made it clear you’re a believer, you have your own individual responsibility to Christ and as long as you’re obedient to that then you’re doing what you’re supposed to.

I “refound” y’all through Matt & Abby and started watching you again. If no one else can see your Christian lives through your current content they need Jesus!!! there are definitely biblical churches! a good tip is to not go to the really big ones. it's hard to be a biblical church while also being a mega church or give off the mega church vibes. and sometimes it can take visiting a few churches for a while to figure out where you belong. being a part of a local church is so important so it's important to get it right 👍🏼
