ARE WE STILL SINNERS AFTER SALVATION? 

Just wanted to reiterate that we DO still mess up and sin. 😊 none of us are perfect! We’re human, we make mistakes! The difference is, not living in continual unrepentant sin. Hope this makes sense! God bless!

We are made new in Christ once we accept Him in our hearts , we do do things wrong sometimes but we are forgiven by Jesus blood that was shed for all once and for all ! We need to strive and keep our eyes on God we strive towards the prize as we run our race in life .

Thanks for the uplifting message, Paul addressed the Corinthian church as to all that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, even with the strife and sin problems they were dealing with!

The issue is about what the meaning of a sinner is. Some define a sinner as someone who is not saved and on the other hand, some define a sinner as someone who sins ! That's why people can say I am a sinners saved by grace. 1 Timothy 1vs 15

Yes! Totally have the same opinion on this! People have a confusion on this topic because they have not understood the difference between the act of sin and the state of sin 🙂. (In Greek, there are 2 words for sin, (hamartia - NOUN) & (Hamartanu - VERB)

I once was a victim of this I'm a sinner mentality until I started getting deep in the Scriptures and in Christ Himself, I feel like He's been showing me my identity and who I am in Him and not only that we are Saints but we are also Holy as well because I serve a Holy God and He lives within me so that makes me Holy as well because I've been reborn and transformed in the image of Jesus Christ.

We do mess up in sin at times so we must repent, but the Holy spirit told me clearly that a "saved" Christian who continues to sin as everyone else alienates the Holy spirit within making it hard for guardian angels to guide, protect & assist the Christian person. Because at that point when you continue to sin knowing you are saved, the enemy has the chance to get hold of you and make your life here on earth really difficult. Why would you want to forfeit God's promise for your life by stubbornly engaging in sin?

Truly born again 43years ago. The work of sanctification goes. When God removes my flesh at death then I'll no longer be a sinner saved by grace I'll be a son only. Until then it's Romans 7.

Very well said! Anyone that is a member of the Body of Christ and says they are still a sinner would grieve the Holy Spirit of God that is in. Once we are baptized in Christ we are changed and no longer desire to live the old way of the old man. Jesus calls sinners to repentance. Jesus has called us to be a witness of the Jesus resurrection and how He delivered us from sin and the power of Satan. Too many false conversions of just saying a prayer and be baptized with water which does nothing. I was baptized with water and I was the same sinner and grew worse. When I told Jesus that I turned from the works of Satan and turned to God BOOM! I was born again and I became a new creature in Christ. Not only did I not want to go get drunk and but lust after other women who I was not married to but He healed my heart form my only son Zachary dying in my arms when he was 9 months old. Nothing but Jesus can heal you from a loss of a child. No time or therapist which I had to go throw because of the military and I kept saying the pain is gone, Jesus healed me, there is no more mourning. That's the power of a living God.

One of the biggest lies the modern church believes is that - the unsaved person is a sinner and the saved person are still sinners too. One goes to hell the other goes to heaven.

In my opinion, and from what I've been taught growing up, we're all sinners, no matter if we're saved or not because everyone sins--even Christians. Just because Christians are sinners though, doesn't mean they are or should actively be living in sin. That's when, I feel, you could say we're "being one with the world," when we are actively and continuously sinning. Saying we're "sinners saved by grace" is true because, like I mentioned a moment ago, we still do sin but if we repent and ask for forgiveness, God's grace redeems us. That's my take on it. :)

He is the vine and we are the branches... The idea of whether we are sinners is very complex, but made simpler by the opening statement.. because the focus becomes Jesus, and not sin. When we are surrendered to Christ and eyes on him we don't have to focus on sin, but being that we are imperfect, we generally lose sight of this, but in either way the answer is always the same. Surrender and focus on Jesus. He is the vine, we are the branches.

One may say,: I sin less than you, therefore I'm saved.🙄 Another may say: I'm saved, therefore, I sin less than (I used to).😃 We should never compare ourselves to anyone other than our old selves. We should be growing in comparison to the old life we had before we believed and repented. That show we examine ourselves to see if we're in the faith. Are we growing in faith? Our increasing obedience to God exhibits our faith in Christ. As paul said: Show me your faith without works and I'll show you my faith by my works. Therefore, increasing obedience is evidence of our faith. You can't have faith if you're not changing for the better. None of us should judge others because though one might still be drinking, he also has a private life. Maybe he stopped hitting his wife. Stopped gambling. Stopped cursing, stopped watching porn. But all u see is that he still smokes cigarettes or whatever. Only God knows the heart of us all. We judge the outside appearance. We condemn ourselves when we judge others, because we too have secrets that we haven't given up. Sanctification is a process of pruning and growing and staying connected to the life source vine, Jesus Christ.

Immediately after you repent you become a Righteous Sanctified Holy Temple for the Holy Spirit and these are the scriptures that prove that. 1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Mathew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Mathew 13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. 1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. It's sad when people preach and judge others. When they are not perfect themselves. It's only through Christ we are saved. It's sad when people who. Teach the law and don't obey 100 percent themselves, they Judge people on the things they say they don't do and they fail to notice the sins they are in. If someone is going to preach the law and say don't sin no more they better be perfect, but they ain't. Only Christ was and is. Just because you ain't doing that particular law braking don't mean you ain't braking the law in some other way. If you judge others it should be for right reasons not because you feel you have the right too but because you want the best for them. God Bless

You seem to have an issue with Christians calling themselves sinners, but this is exactly what Paul did - calling himself the chief of sinners - in his letter to Timothy. The other issue is that we no longer sin, so let me ask you, if you take Jesus' words in the sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7) how well are we doing at clearing that bar? Just take one thing He examines - worry. How many worries assail us in a day? That's why our salvation is entirely fixed upon His sufficient grace, not our works. Sure, we will do things of value, but I'm so relieved Jesus taught me to pray regularly for the forgiveness of my sins and that we should continually forgive, because it's that manner of mercy that truly heals.

Amen... We are not all sinners. Some of us are EX-sinners. We are not born with a "sinful nature", but we choose to sin and develop a "second nature" to sin by habit and practice when we fulfilled temptation of the flesh according to Eph 2. But we chose to do that, not a "sinful nature's" fault. Then in Christ we are no longer sinners because we have been given the Holy Spirit and his blood washes us from all unrighteousness, and makes us holy and righteous before God. Then he gives us the Holy Spirit to keep us from sin, (if ye thought the spirit mortify the deeds of the flesh Romans 8: 13). From that point on it is still possible to sin but we don't have to according to scripture. The New testament doesn't give a definite that we're going to sin, but a possible according to 1 John 2: 1,2. Sinners walk in and practice sin the righteous do not. 1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.7Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Calling a true saint who is walking by grace in the Holiness of God, is calling them common or unclean, and it is slapping God in the face with an accusation that Christ's blood is able to do that work. I’d argue that we are both saint and sinner…because we are born in sin and still have sinful flesh even after being born again .I mean it’s common sense. What do you call a person who still sins ? A sinner ,right? We are saints because of the Holy Spirit residing in us but our flesh still sometimes prevents us from doing good. We sin daily (not saying that’s a good thing.). We do what we hate and know is wrong,as Paul says in one of his epistles . Unregenerate sinners on the other hand are joyful in their sin ,in fact they don’t even care or are aware that they are sinning . It’s normal & easy for them .

What does it mean to be set apart from the world. Should we even mix with the world or should we be isolated from the world. I'm currious of what that even means.

If a wealthy mans riches are taken away, He is no longer a wealthy man. If a criminals freedom was taken away, He is no longer a free man. So if Christ takes away someones sin, why would they still be sinners?

Yes she is right. There are examples where saved ppl even died because of a sin. 1 Corinthians 5:5 deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the Day of the Lord Jesus. The man did sexual immorality. After you are saved God can destroy your life because of sin. It's logically.... Think about it: Our God it's a righteous God, if you don't go to hell anymore, He will apply his righteousness on you during your life. There will be cases when you come in your knee and pray for forgiveness and depending on His thoughts (that is not like our thoughts ) and His righteousness , He will see if the grade of sin you committed require your life or not. He can also see your possible future if you would change or not.

Real faith will obey God .Real Christiams love God and keep commandments fake Christians hate God and love sin they profess to know God but in works Deny him .
