the tide stands for an hour at high tide then starts to go back. so you'd hardly be stranded for more than three hours.better than getting all that salt water underneath your motor.

After sending the drone up and seeing just how bad it was covered panic mode set in and we just went for it. It was very stupid of us I know but we all live and learn I guess. Thank you for taking the time to watch our RU-vid channel and making a comment we really do appreciate the support 🙏🏼🥰

omg, as a Northumbrian you took an awful risk there my friends, with a slightly stronger tide you would have been stranded till Seahouses lifeboat rescues you & Reckless just wrecked ! These strandings are reported every week in the Chronicle and the Journal 😢

I know it was very stupid of us to wait so long to cross. He was after the ultimate drone shot of us crossing but when he realised just how bad the road was covered that idea was ditched and we panicked just a little...😔 I doubt us doing this ever again.. Thanks I am really enjoying your videos, I am from Newcastle, we used to go there all the time, there is a story of my grandad having to carry my young uncle on his back in the sea lol after being caught in the tide. Pleased you were safe

😱 We were so lucky that day to make it across, I have no idea what would have happened if we had got stuck as my husband suffers with cold feet and hands, So he would not have wanted to get into the sea to safety. Anyway we did make it and hopefully have learnt a valuable lesson never to do this again. We were there last week. Tide was a long way out when we went, so no issues. Lovely part of the country. We did the Northumberland250 and the Scottish South West Coast300. Took 10 days over it and can highly recommend it. Some stunning park ups to. Some literally a metre from the beach! We will be posting on RU-vid when my wife finishes editing. We have some other ‘van’ adventures too. We are ‘just for the weekend van life’.

We have done the NC500 for the past 2 years and still haven't seen as much as we would have liked to have seen. So I can see us doing it yet again this year at some point. We did take lots of video but as yet never got around to editing any of them. I will go check out your channel now 👍 thanks for that. 🍻

Thanks for your comments.. The bodywork on these vans are galvanised.. but I guess it could still rust. I was more worried about getting to the other side at the time.. 👍

Agreed, stupidity at its best, there are signs telling you when it is safe to cross😮 unfortunately people ignore them and get stranded... dohhhh
