Everything you said was absolutely right. Love your body and don't be afraid to tell the world that you do! Also, those brows are FIERCE!

i think something else that's messed up is that when i saw the title of this video i just thought "yeah isn't that something we all know 'cause that's how the world just is?" and uh YIKES that's not something i or anyone should just perceive as normal. you're right though, and as i said, at least to me it has just always been something i've seen and accepted and i'm sure i'm not the only one. however, it really is much more complicated than companies just going "hey! insecurity sells!" because yeah even though there are A LOT of assholes in high places who do just feed off of people feeling bad, there are also companies that seek to do good! the point of clothing and make up is to make people feel pretty. there's a cognitive dissonance that happens when people put up standards or say something will make you feel better about yourself: their minds tell them that they're doing something good because they're allowing people to fall into the current beauty standard. in their head, what they're doing is right because they're being told that they're helping others (which they clearly aren't). and honestly, i at least can't think of a way to fix that point of this 'cause i have no power or knowledge of running large corporations. people just need to really be made more aware of the diversity we humans really carry. that beauty standards change constantly and that different people have still existed through all those eras. and, honestly, media needs to stop normalizing putting yourself down. either that or we learn to read with a more careful eye, knowing what is being said between the lines and whether or not it's something worth putting our time into.

Sorry it has taken me to reply to your chönker messages but I didn't want to just go "YEAH GO MY DUDE!" so hello. I'm here again. I love your points here and I deffo agree with the thing that companies are not the ONLY reason to this but I think I more meant that those things support the insecurities we have from our culture being like this etc. etc. Also gosh your first thought is pretty damn messed up! This is why we have to change this. Ugh, why is being insecure the kind of... norm? I don't wanna be like that anymore!
