Just out of university a d got a better grip on what's going to happen to us all than most middle-aged people I know. It's called 'educated'. That seems to be a bad thing in some people's eyes.

Educated yes, but not lived lifes experiences yet. I went to uni when I was 40 yrs old. I'm 62. The first time my generation heard about global warming was through late night open university programmes on one of our only three TV channels. That's when I first heard about it on BBC2. I was 28 yrs old. They mentioned a future of changing weather, and this was from cfcs from aerosol cans and big companies spewing out carbon emissions . It was such a new concept for the ordinary person back then I remember sitting on bed watching the program in horror but helpless as it seemed like the damage to our planet was already done.

You really don’t understand science or what homeostasis means. Stop repeating this utter bollocks. CO2 is the result of combustion. Combustible forms of carbon are made from ancient sun and other ancient processes. Carbon is the element of life if you want to put it that way it carries energy. CO2 is spent life! Solar energy and chloroplast recycle it back to higher forms of energy carrying carbon.

@longdongsilver1255 actually Oxygen (at least 20% mixed in with mostly Nitrogen {80-ish %} ), is the gas of life. If it was C02, Mars (98% carbon dioxide) would be full of all sorts of life, including holidaying humans)

Scientists/ meteorologists/ geologists will tell you that climate and landscapes have changed since tine began. Where I live in Essex used to be under ice! Then under the sea! Now we have farmland! Certain lands were once under water, now they are not, some were not under water, now they are! Cyclic climate/ geological change! That is why populations have always moved across the continents and landfalls and built dams, waterways, reservoirs etc. Now countries can grow types of food all year round and food they once couldn't grow at all! But climate change has happened over thousands of years, not a year or so! Bet all this generation won't stop their take-away food and drink though, or owning a car, fridge, freezer, tv, washing machine, tumble dryer, flying away on holiday, buying loads of cheap, disposable clothing, or showering every day to save the planet, nor keep their old laptop and mobile phone rather than buy a new one nearly every year, nor walk, grow food in their gardens or go without anything including having tattoos, nails and hair done etc. all of which use resources and most also oil to either produce or operate! Will they go without central heating and hot water on tap as we did when growing up? Or food rationing as we did? I think not! They moan if they can't get their favourite brand of something despite having so much choice available! Total hypocrites,

True, but over a certain level plants can't photosynthesise any faster and the devastating effects of climate change kick in: sea water inundation of the land, lack of fresh water as glaciers disappear, excessive temperatures and drought from disrupted rainfall patterns. All this is set to increase as global temperatures rise.
