The killer question, how good of a rider do you need to be to do a rally or start in rally? The elitist world around rallies such as the Dakar like to project an unobtainable image of rally, but the reality is that anyone with some enduro riding skills can give rally a go. In this video I talk through my experience and recommendations on what to consider around the big question - are you good enough to try a rally?
There are lots of different types and scales of rallies too so it’s important to remember that the Africa Eco Race [the original Dakar], Dakar and the big tough rallies like the Morocco Desert Challenge, are not the only rally options. I hope this video and thought process will help you get the motivation to go and try rally.
