It's amazing how these actors have the characters so perfect from the original "Are You Being Served?" series in the UK! Miss Crawford sounds like Mrs. Slocumb, Mr. Wagstaff sounds like Captain Peacock, Mr. Randle sounds like Mr. Lucas, Miss Nichols sounds like Miss Brahms, Mr. Dunkin sounds like Mr. Rumbold, etc.
@@darraghgregory1269 Nope. Look at the characters. The UK characters are copies of the originals. Capt. Peacock is Capt. Wagstaff, for example. Mrs. Slocumb is Mrs. Crawford, right down to the pussy jokes. All the characters in the UK version are copies of the originals. Many of the UK stories are exactly the stories from the Aussie original.
I'm from America and I didn't know these were before the UK ones, in fact I didn't even know the UK ones existed until a few months ago and they are very funny, little silly at times and that question they ask alot are you free then look around us kinda stupid when you can obviously see that they are free store seems to be void of customers so thats the part seems stupid to ask but worse when they look around, when they weren't busy to begin with but screwing around gossiping and stuff. But I do like the show I just wish they put more episodes up there not many up here on RU-vid. My favorite one is the what a tangle web we weave episode I can't help but laugh especially during Mrs Slocome's interview won't say anymore don't want to spoil it for someone reading this and has never seen it.
