This makes me think of Harvey saying something like “I may not be very exciting, but I’ll be loyal to you forever,” which is canon and kinda heartbreakingly insecure of him. Harvey es my first husband.
I'm married to him on my current playthrough and sometimes he has dialogue saying something along the lines of "Marrying me was one of the best things he's done" and "I may not be the most amazing guy but I'll stay loyal to you for the rest of my life" That got me..... Where can I find a man as sweet and as romantic as Harvey 😭
On gatherings, Harvey is mostly alone, awkwardly standing or just walking around. Even if he's with others or girls it feels like he's just standing there and barely a part of conversation. He seems so lonely, when all he thinks about when we talk with him is the whole town's health, and kept on reminding health wise things. He probably feels so detach that there's always that idea that he's just meant like that, bit boring, and on the sidelines..and when he finally have someone, that still didn't change, that feeling that he's always gonna be left out. Being seen is so foreign for him, love much more.
As a health care professional there's a boundary you're supposed to have with your patients to keep their privacy. You touch their bodies and maybe see them naked in order to keep them safe. They tell you very private things about their lives and families. But then you go to the fair, or other places, and see them with their kids and spouse, doing normal things. And in normal daily living it's not acceptable to walk up to them and ask follow up questions even if it's burning a hole in your brain. I think that's why there's so many dialogs from Harvey about the health of the villagers. He can't talk about it with ANYONE. EVER. He doesn't even have co-workers he can talk about it with. The best he can do is make vague statements to his friend/date/spouse, The Farmer.
I'm going to C R Y. Whenever I hear someone saying how boring he is, all I can think about is how sad he would be if the farmer thought he was boring and just- MY HEART. I CAN'T. Like- He's so sweet??? He is precious??? How dare???
I know this comment was a year ago but me too, I’m gonna cry too. As a new stardew valley player I ask myself why he’s just some pixels on my screen and not a living person 😢
I've spent so much time romancing Shane on my first save, and now I'm so close to being able to propose to him, but my brother and i started a shared save, and I've fallen absolutely in love with Harvey, but I don't wanna hurt Shane, so I'm suffering.
Y’all fightin over who is best husbando/wifu... That’s the beauty of the game. They all are. The fact you get to choose, and even go after another in a different save OR the same save is amazing too. This game was truly made for a huge group of people, and I love it for that!
when i started getting into stardew valley i thought that the romance aspect was below me. then i got a few hearts with harvey, and now i think hes a dork and i love him. hes my first choice for spouse

I’ve always loved Sebastian (having like 4+ files married to him) but Harvey was always the close second! I have a file or two married to him. What a sweetheart.
it's my first time playing stardew valley, im on year 2 spring and i maxed out hearts with almost everyone. it's really difficult for me to choose who i'll marry but i think this convinced me enough to marry harvey
I've never romance him in any of my save file or even get to 3 heart's with him... But seeing this makes me want to make a new save file specifically for him

My gf got me into stardew and when I told her i was fully going for harvey she was very confused. Now she just sends me harvey fanart because it makes me happy. I have like...three (was four) saves just married to harvey and no one else. I love him so much that i literally mapped out a route in my head so that I could dance with him at the first flower festival (which is really hard since you need at least 4 hearts, i managed 6) and marry him by the 11th of summer. Im quite proud of it, actually.
@@cabin7slytherpuffempath so with harvey he has a loved gift (coffee) in the saloon. But as long as you can get two loved gifts (i only really remember that one of sebastian's is frozen tear which can be duplicated in a crystalarium daily which is the 25000g vault bundle) within the first week you should be fine because it becomes a bit easier after. What i did was: -Introduced myself to harvey and caroline only (tea saplings) -loved gift to harvey on the first and second day. (Probably cant do that with sebastian, liked gifts will do fine at first though.) -the reason i only introduced myself to harvey and caroline was i essentially was curating my help wanted board. Harvey doesnt post often but you get a shit ton of friendship from completing the quests on the board. But only townies you've been introduced to can post on the help wanted board. (Side note, if you get the furnace cutscene, skip as soon as the skip button pops up. Clint posts THE MOST and if you skip asap you arent counted as being introduced to him) -every sunday+monday i gifted coffee to harvey. I only managed one help wanted quest from him but i know sebastian posts more so that should make up for lack of loved gifts at first. -talked to harvey every day -i had 6 hearts by the spring dance (only need 4). You get a lot of friendship from the character you dance with which jumped me like, a little over a heart. (By now it doesnt matter if you've introduced yourself to everyone, i used the egg festival for introductions. Once you get a few help wanted from who you're going for it doesnt matter.) -by day 3 of summer i had given harvey a bouquet. I got lucky with a rain day on summer 8 (guaranteed one on 13 though if you're pressed. Poor alex always has rain on his birthday) -summer eight was when i hit 10 hearts which you dont need to wait. As soon as you hit 10 heart you can buy the mermaid pendant and present them with it. Some things to note: a lot of heart events give or take friendship. Eg, harvey's two heart even where you gain friendship if you tell george to listen to him, lose if you tell george he (george) knows best. I would suggest looking it up for sebastian, im pretty sure you gain friendship if you get a good rating with the dnd game. Its also okay if you miss a day or two of talking to them, as long as you get most days. Buy a bouquet AS SOON AS you hit 8 hearts. You could lose friendship points to the cap otherwise. Edit: this was in like 1.5 i did this on my tablet. 1.6 introduces stardrop tea that makes it so much easier. But you need more help wanted posters for the tickets. Its a give and take.

I'll admit it., I find Harvey boarding, but stuff like this shows me how other people see him and I think I can understand it a little I still don't think ill ever Feel that way though, sorry!
