Are You Building the Wrong Heroes? | Hero Wars 

The trick is not finding the best heroes, but to finding the best combinations of heroes. Leveling up a "good" hero when you don't have the right combinations is possibly an even bigger waste.

Variety is the spice of life but resource demands are hard to meet. Choose wisely your tanks, support and counters. Team synergy is most important and counter heros (ie Helios, Sebastian, Isaac) are very important! Also if the hero is interchangeable with different combo's is a consideration of worth. It also feels good to look at a huge stack of materials. And to know u have any new hero covered to get them lvled when u deciede.

Good advice on the resource management part. Unfortunately, not many follow your advice and they spend tons of resources (and money) on random heroes which they decide not to use later on.

Once factions were released I looked at heroes I had leveled up and created three teams of hero's based on those factions to fight in Grand Arena. Since then nearly ALL of my upgrades have been on those 15 heroes. New hero events and Jhu and Hojo (for hydra fights) are the exceptions.

Now if I just knew that difference between bad heroes and good heroes.

New subscriber. I only just started playing this game 5 days ago. Just reached lvl 50 with my team. So it’s great coming across your channel and learning this strategy. I was already shifting and focusing on newer team heroes and some others lingering behind at lower levels as well not as much deeper investments in skills etc. So learning that others use this strategy leveling is great to know.

I usually focus in 3 or 4 heros depending the category... at certain point I think is good enough for 3rd or 4th team (or variable to the first 2) and then I'll start leveling another Hero. But I do have a bunch of "future Heros" where... yeah, I do my dailys, hahaa.

Charlie is implicitly telling people not to level up Keira, yet he listed off at least three strong teams that included her. Keira is an easy hero to Ult-Star, and she still kicks ass at higher levels. If you ever plan to play in Grand Arena, Keira should be on one of your 3 teams. She is my second most developed hero, and does more damage than all my other heroes, by a lot. I would have used Ginger for this example, because she is not an A tier Marksman.

Thanks for the rundown, it's helpful as a newer player to get your complex perspective. What's interesting to me is that I haven't tended to use Keira in the second rank, rather the third. From my experience, I don't think that it's fair to compare Keira with Ishmael in the next to front position, because Ishmael is naturally stronger there. I love how fast Keira's special attacks fire of in the third position, which is where I normally place her in my teams. Just my two cents, I'll keep toying with it.

I think most people build up characters like Keira, Karkh and Iris because during certain events their soul Stones drop at high concentrations so it seems, like you said in another video, that HW wants people to build her up and fast. I have build her up quite high but I don't usually select her as often as I could just because I find the other heroes I have built up seem to do much more damage overall in comparison.

Lol, I was literally in the middle of deciding between corvus and helios to bring up to throw in vs yas. This will make that decision easier.

I invested so much into Galahad before i knew better. really annoying to this day. wish you could reset heroes in certain ways, like artifacts, and glyphs.

to max out the default skin requires 30825 skin stones while maxing out one of the other four skins requires 55410 skin stones .. so to completely max out all 5 skins of a hero requires you exactly 252465 skin stones

Ishmael is great since he has been reworked. So when Keira will be reworked she'll be deadly! That's the thing it rotates and change with time. Ideally you need all heroes

I made the mistake of getting almost everyone to violet by gathering equipment. Now I concentrate on the heroes I use or plan to use soon.

Yesterday i ascend keira completely and guys she is beast she cuts trough teams like they are made from paper and I can use her like tank she gains energy really fast and when she starts ulting and silencing its game over but strong celeste is still problem

These stupid red dots are everywhere. For this reason we can overlook something important. I always level up GotE low heros and later reset if need spakrs for hero i use.

how should we choose pets for each hero?

This is all relative....Keira is a great hero. I have a Keira team ias 1 of my 3 teams in GA and I consistently stay 3-4 th in the rankings there

I am a newbie.. I think I just got to level 45.. Anytime I get a new hero I try to get the hero up to level 15 so that I can use them in the Tower.. I guess you can complete all of the Tower Levels.. I haven't done that yet so that is my focus.. It seams by level 15 I get a good feel about what the heroes abilities are going to be and then I might want to start putting more resources in them.. You mentioned Kira.. I like her at the level that I am right now.. I like that she can dig a hole and heal herself.. That seams to come in handy in the Outland..

isaac, amira, or xesha would be nice for mobile hero of the month...

I just jumped into the game without learning anything first and wasted a bunch of resources and gold on the basic heros.

With all the games available, I can't believe people actually play this.

I made the same mistake of leveling up useless heroes early on.

If you are on Server 99, Pour all your resources in Dark Star - Hurry before everyone else does.

If someone would ask me which hero to invest into, I'reccommend Astaroth and Sebastian in the first place. The choice between any damage dealer should be weighted carefully, because a player might require more then just one, and any player will sooner or later require both physical and magic line ups well developped in order to remain competitive in all playgrounds. Among the physical damage dealers my first choice would be Jhu for more then valid reason of being competitive in Asgard, but also to be competitive in other playgrounds. It looks like not many players are aware, but Jhu is an excellent tank destroyer. Among the magic casters, my first choice would be Aurora, then twins, Celeste, Iris and Morrigan. Orion not necessarily because Jhu can complement Orion in PAs very well. Beside Jhu, I'd certainly chose either Karkh or Dante, then Nebula and Andvari. The above mentioned characters are my own picks at present, but it is worth mentioning that those heros may become ineffective over time because some other would be either launched or reworked which would render the group I picked as "obsolete". What one can do best is not to make hasty decisions and go wisely irrespective of what heros have been chosen to invest into.

Yes, keep focused, but I think the game is more fun when you have a good choice of heroes - so building your supports is also a thing

I am a new player and reached level 44 today, and Keira has been my main damage dealer the entire way. It's tempting to make her even better, from a beginner perspective. But I'll listen to the pro and hold back.

Love how acceping and inclusive you are. It may not be your favourite hero, but no criticism for those who might like that hero.

Note carefully: in the middle of the video, Charlie is speaking hypothetically; it’s **not** actually commentary on Keira, etc.. He’s explaining the fundamentals of the process of budgeting, planning, and allocating resources that is the backbone of this game.

I mistake all in this game, making grow heroes not related like astaroth, keyla, thea, Jorgen and quen mao :((( now i am upgrading the green alien and the yasmine but it will take so long.. Grrrr time wasted only at the end.. Marta is not possible to be on my list and i know it.. Nice game.. Same for the pet, i am developing biscuit and oliver and looks pike they are not really good..

The reaso to upgrade other heros to the violet ability is you might want to know what that hero can do and if he might have a place in one of your Teams or maybe he can counter other Heros, is usefull against bosses or at certain campaign levels. And there is always the Chance that a Hero gets buffed, reworked or he gets another Skin. Or they ad an aditional Hero into this Game and now we have a new Meta

I understand the hoarding method of leveling your teams but I personally don't care for it. I love the grind and don't mind spending my assets when I get them. I started the game with an ODH team but my guild had way too many magic teams so my guild leader asked me to switch to a Keira team. It doesn't matter to me that one day my hero might be useless because of a nerf or a new character voids their effectiveness. I love the grind and the only time I hold on to assets is when I know an big event requires them for missions. Having all the assets in the world doesn't do you any good if you never use them.

More specific advise on good hero combinations would be more useful.

I have my main heroes by ( thea. Martha. Arachne. Morrigan. Yasmine. Astaroth. Galahad. Qing Mao .corvus. Celeste). I have all the other hearos but I need not waste my items. so I need to know what to not use and what is important. because this team that I have is not extremely good enough to be in the top 50 players. give me heroes names to Max other than my 10 current heroes

Who do you make your videos for? All of you. Generally, there are A LOT of solutions to make the best team. And you can't raise 22 heroes to level 130 and RED+2? You simply can't. You have one shot at making some super tank. You can choose Astrid, Rufus, Astaroth, Julius, sometimes Dante, Cleaver (less and less),... One of these, not ALL as you give us as your recommendations. All of you on youtube. If we talk about damage dealers, it is even worse, you can use A LOT of heroes. When we speak about healers and mages, A LOT OF OPTIONS. You all use A LOT of combinations, and they are all lv130, with the absolute star, with RED+2 strength. WHO CAN RAISE 22 heroes to be like that? NOBODY. I am not sure even if somebody spends 1000 bucks a month if he can have 22 top-pumped heroes to have 'combinations' that are given on youtube. Are you aware that you suggest that we should pump these heroes, to have all possible combinations: Dante, Celeste, Astaroth, Keira, Dorian, Aurora, Cornelius, Faceless, Fox, Lian, Cleaver, Jet, Nebula, Kharkh, Satori, Martha, Andvari, Corvus, Morrigan, Isaac, Iris, Yasmine. You ALL use these heroes to make the best team. It is 22 heroes. YOU CAN'T make them all be RED+2, lv130, with all glyphs pumped, with all artifacts, you should play this game for 10 years to do that. And to spend at least 500 bucks a month. Even if your videos are RECOMMENDATIONS, we still can't make the team we want, but what we CAN. You can pump some heroes, but some new ones can arise, like IRIS. And you can go from scratch to raise her. It is a mission impossible. Or you can invest so much, and your hero becomes useless. I did it with Ishmael. He was the best damage dealer, then the developers didn't raise his armor penetration and his armor, so he becomes an average damage dealer overnight. And he could kill the whole team alone. He still can make 70K damage in one blow, but he can't do anything against the strong tank. On the other hand, Dante can go through the walls. He can be even a tank. So, if you invest in the wrong hero, you can lose A LOT of time and resources, and you can't know if your hero is the winning one. This game is pointless. I reached 360K titans, and after that, you must PAY to raise them. Or you can't make them stronger. This whole game is about greed. You simply must PAY to be good at this game.

Ok, I have a real noob question: How do I figure out who is a "hero"? I see those who are tanks vs warriors vs healers, etc - but every video I see talks about picking your hero. WTH is that?

Judge is the best and TBH Charlie hasn't a clue what he is talking about. When I first started playing his advice was to ignore Phobos and Dante as they useless. Epic fail when most top teams will use Dante or Rufus in position 1
