I have a NB10000 and have been loving it's lightweight and compact size for EDC. Not only that, it's performance is amazing! And because of my experience with NB10000, I have never look at any other powerbank brands. Great to see there are improvements for Nitecore powerbanks! Keep up the evolution!!

A combination of lightweight, long lasting charge, waterproof and most importantly, very robust connectors that will charge / run anything from headsets, lights to phones and other electrical devices. I have several banks that while the batteries are actually still good, the connectors are usually the first to get damaged / faulty.

I purchased an Anker 347 some years ago and it wasn't the best purchase... exactly what you detailed here. It's a massive brick and many of my lighter weight banks outperform it. It's supposedly effective at charging 3+ devices simultaneously but that's not anything I require unless I'm camping. Also I've learned I can't carry it on airline so it's now this massive power bank I use at home or camping trips. It has it's place, but it's place is limited.

I personally prefer a lightweight powerbank simply because I consider it as an essential EDC item in a very technologically-connected world. You just gotta have the power to always stay connected and up to speed on things. As is with any edc, I believe a general rule to it is that it is something you can carry with you, without even noticing that you have it with you - and Nitecore powerbanks definitely nails it!

I have 5 Nitecore powerbanks and the one I prefer depends on the situation. When I travel with my family, I don't mind weight. I just want the most durable, highest capacity with multiple ports so the kids can share (NPB4). When I am backpacking, weight is my primary concern, so the lighter the better (NB10000 for short treks, NB20000 for longer time on the trail). When camping with my son's scout troop, capacity and multi-function is importanta (battery + light = LR50, NC10000) . So, it is hard to pick one as the "best"!

Hey MJ! This is an off topic but I believe that the new Nitecore tiny monster series soon will be equipped with the latest UHI led's. I predicted that Nitecore will make TM40K instead of 30K. Taking the design from TM20k and improving it's grip knurling, then the metal usb-c port cover, and lastly maintaining the 19 led's (probably). Then they will use 1 UHI 100 led on the center for max lumens for the spotlight and then 18 XHP50's for the floodlight. IM SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT MOST POWERFUL TINY MONSTER!!!

sounds all amazing but.. im scared of what that will cost. If they incorporate a oled screen into it and some other innovative features that could be justified a price premium but otherwise i dont see myself buying a nitecore light with 30k or 40k lumens... Too many other options from acebeam, wuben, fenix etc that are way more reasonably priced. Im definitely hyped for future nitecore releases tho, they rarely miss, always good stuff.

I am a self confessed Nitecore fan and have a number of your flashlights. I am impressed with the Carbo 10,000 and 20,000 powerbank for their light weight and size, but they do seem somewhat pricy for what they offer. For the most part I have stuck to Anker for my power bricks and power banks. What they offer it is hard to beat. Their 533 has the same power, somewhat larger in size (slightly longer) and not that much heavier. It also has high speed charge and recharge, although at a slower 18W (they were designed for the iPhone 11 and around the same time), plus they offer wireless charge, enabling me to charge my earbuds (Galaxy Buds+), Apple watch and iPhone at the same time. As for size, I think a Xiaomi Mi 10,000 power bank May have it beat, although in a heavier aluminum case. It does also offer pass thru charging and high speed, although their high speed is only 12W (it did come out in 2016). For EDC, this is what I have relied on, but as it is coming on to 7 years old and I can only get about 1.2 charges on my iPhone 11 from it (or 1 full iPhone charge, 1 Apple Watch charge and 1 nitecore tup 1000), the Carbo 10,000 looks like a worthy replacement for it in my EDC micro tech kit (Maxpedition Micro). I do agree with you about the Alibaba or night market power banks with concerns for safety as I have witnessed them swelling and burning. Years ago I bought a Mi clone and had it overheat. Since then I have stuck to name brand power banks (Anker, Mophie, Belkin, basically if Apple sells it, I trust it), but Nitecore is definitely one I would trust given their history on rechargeable batteries. What I would like to see in the future is Nitecore adopting LiFePO4 technology. For high drain, multiple charge use (like with a CPAP), it is the only way to go.
@NitecoreSG
@NitecoreSG 10 месяцев назад
good points! they should def look into LiFePO4 when the time is right
