Some prefer comedians who make jokes on sensitive topics. Though it can be offensive for some, if done right it makes you think and makes you question why some things are the way they are.
As long as they are not inciting violence, then nothing should be off bounds for a comedian.
But again, one should also be aware of where he/she is performing as the sensitivity of people varies according to places.
