Something amazing the Lord showed me last night that I would like to share with you all. We pray 'hallowed be thy name' in the Lord's prayer, and I began to wonder what that means. He showed me how his name is different from all others, every other name that exists was given and received; but the name of God is eternal. He has always been, and he has always been named. As his existence is un-bestowed so also his name. It's hard to wrap the head around.

Amen! This is what God is teaching me right now and what a blessing it truley is. It was brought to my attention by pastor Charles Lawson. He said really get to know yourself and your strengths and weakness's. It is helpful in growing in our relationship with Christ and others and especially in the spiritual battle we are in! To be wise of Satan's schemes and be prayerful and watchful in everything! Glory to Jesus for bringing us through it our tender Shepard. He loves us tooooo much to keep us where we are. Until Christ is perfected in us we must press on, press into Jesus.

Jesus the Pioneer and Perfecter of our faith set the example of not being defensive. Even when he was accused of being the devil because he cast out demons he didn't take personal offense. Instead he warned his accusers against blaspheming the Holy Spirit. When he was being arrested prior to his crucifixion he stated that he could have summoned legions of angels to war for him but he didn't. Jesus was 100% HUMBLE. He was not afraid to ask others what they thought of him, even his enemies. An unsaved friend of mine recently gave me an accurate critique of one of my weaknesses. He was straightforward and the Holy Spirit convicted me concerning this issue. I was tempted to slough it off with "He's not saved. He's spiritually blind. Why should l listen to him?" But the Holy Spirit showed me to humble myself and ask God to help me overcome my problem instead. It's only my pride and arrogance that make me want to pick and choose who is "worthy" to speak to me about weaknesses and failings and who can't.

Well it depends on the source of the rebuke. Is it someone you know? Someone you respect as a solid, honest and true Christian? If so I will surely listen and likely feel convicted and take on what is said even if it's tough. If it's someone I'm not familiar with or don't see with a solid walk themselves, I will still give an ear but tread cautiously regarding their words. As the poster of the video pointed out we ALL have blind spots and areas of weakness that need to be addressed, of that there is no dispute.

Some people say they love you but they actually despise you I have siblings that are nasty and always have negative things to say that are not true just like Jesus They Crucified him for no reason

Yes I am defensive of what I believe especially my faith or we all permit Satan to spread his lies. And I render myself unapproachable to those who have slandered me behind my back. Those who mean well I listen to. Those who mean evil I do not let close even if they have truth to say cos even truth can be weaponized.

Your opening reminded me of my fiance. When you mentioned you were defensive.

If they mean well I'll listen to them but most people have their own agenda and just want to control you
