Brook's problem is that he doesn't understand the legal languages told to him, and what's frustrating is he tries to play like he does. So, he ends up not understanding most of what is told to him and gets angry believing the everyone is trying to pull a "fast one" on him. It's probably been like this most of his life.

The judge is an amazing human being, she showed fairness and incredible patience with a very difficult offender.

The fact that the judge managed to remain not only calm, but respectful and proper while ALSO professionally advising the murderer properly on what he is and is not allowed to talk about throughout the trial is genuinely amazing.

Judge Jennifer Dorow; the most patient judge I’ve seen to put up with a grown man throwing tantrums in court like a 5 year old.

The judge has the patience of a saint, I genuinely hope she knows that so many people all over the world have the utmost respect for her and how she conducted herself.

For someone who is so worried about his "rights" he certainly didn't consider the rights of his victims. They had a right to watch a Christmas parade without having their lives carelessly and ruthlessly taken. Those present in the courtroom room should have the right not to be harassed and bullied by his conduct.

Incredible how he talks to the judge, a respected public official, as though she is just one of his poor girlfriends that he can talk over and disrespect..

He is trying to delay everything...He seems truly confident that he will be walking out of that court room...he's to much and his behavior shows why he should be locked away.

This jury should take about 3 seconds to convict.

Here it comes. He's about to forfeit his right to a closing argument because he refuses to present issues relevant to the rules of evidence, etc. Once again, he wanted to act as his own attorney. Despite the judges admonitions, he was determined to do so. Decisions have consequences.

8:24 Brooks wanted the jury to know during his closing that he had “shock devices” on his ankles. Not only is that not proper in a closing but it was proven to be a BOLD FACED LIE. Judge had the bailiff come in and testify that no such device was ever placed on his ankles. He lied repeatedly throughout the trial saying he had shock devices placed on him. The bailiff that was in charge of him the ENTIRE trial said there were no shocks on him. He had shackles that tethered to his table but those were soft restraints and were never shocks. He lied over and over and really thought he could get away with it. Every time he lied, he was either called out by the DA proving him wrong or the judge had witnesses who weren’t part of the trial come in and testify on record to prove he lied. He had the bailiff testify to no shock devices, the IT/Sound Guy testify to the audio being 3x that of the original courtroom and the Jail Administrator testify that not only did he lie about the jail not having a rapid Covid test but that he was offered one originally and refused to take it. Brooks can lie in his own life all he wants but he thought he could lie in court and get away with it. He fu$ked around and found out 😂

Out of the several hours of this trial that I've watched, this is the moment that makes me the most angry. The incorrectly self-righteous disrespect is off the charts.

When he asks the judge “are you done” and “tell me when you’re done” as she’s asking him a simple question is the point at which I would’ve just thrown his ass out. No way in hell would I allow someone to make a mockery of me as a judge or the proceeding.

How does he think telling them that he has electric shackles on will help his case? Does he think they are going to think 'woah, he must be an upstanding fellow if they need to do that to keep everyone safe in court'

I am so so SO happy that this (and I say this with heavy air quotes on the next word) "person" chose to represent himself. He seems so worried in every single clip of the trial that he be given respect and talking about how his life is on the line in this trial, and yet he has a complete lack of respect for the lives this clown threw away. A former neighbor was in a jury during a trial where a young man was also (badly) representing himself. Before the verdict was read, he turned to the jury and told them that since he served as his own attorney, he now had access to every juror's name and address. And that he'd given that information to his family. He was found guilty and was given extra years for threatening the jury. She lived in terror for years. And this gives me some idea of the frustrating bs that her judge and court had to go through.

I really do love how she continues to educate him on a minute to minute basis. He literally got an education that most schools take months to teach.
