I have some limitations that seem to be one or another with age. Therefore limiting my time I am comfortable playing. Just to clarify the time currently given. And is at a minimum. Those times i enjoy most, is when im playing along with you. And want to thank you again. I increased my playing and did quite better when i found these . Can follow you easier and being that i see from the view behind drums. That obviously where i to am sitting. Super idea! Trying to learn in those yrs with added limitations and the effects isn't as easier in the autumn and winter yrs. Well let's just say it's even more a blessing that I have these to help. And keeping them fresh in mind. So my question is, can one sign up and pay for a specific song. Given me new ones at my level. As well as keeping me interested to continue practicing. Also can be one chosen from ones you have. Basically asking to get new songs of yours. And if that's possible? Without signing up for lessons? But a new song if possible as I mentioned. Can be one you have. If so, what would be cost? And the information to do so? Thanks! For one's you've shared that I've been blessed to have those available.
Thanks Mike, working on this one now. Certainly finding that Grade 3 is challenging (more so than the previous ones) which is great. Following your advice last year I’m following the trinity rock and pop syllabus to give me some structure, that alongside using your videos is so much help. Keep up the excellent work 👍👍👍
David, learning how to play Grade 3 myself and noticed a step up from the previous grades, so good to know I’m not the only one ☺️. Got an awesome teacher and Mike’s videos to help me. Not sure where I’d be without both of them!!
Thanks for the video! I have this song in one of my drum books but I always find it difficult to read the drum rolls so by seeing them it has made it so much easier. Thanks again because if it wasn’t for people like you there would a lot of confused potential drummers;)...not me I’ve got loads to learn yet
Cheers Andrew, glad it was useful. Would really recommend taking the time to get fluent with the note values and rhythm figures at this level, it becomes unbelievable useful and saves a ridiculous amount of time as you progress if you can. Thanks for the advice and taking the time out to reply I really appreciate it, just gonna try your 1 minute lesson on paradiddles, it’s amazing how clearer something can be when it’s explained properly, thanks again mate:)
Thanks for the recommended lessons, I spent most of last night listening to Dua Lipa and I couldn’t believe how much my rolls improved although struggled on the off beat one but I’ll get there, a lot of people are great drummers but not many are great teachers as well!
I just want to say you are amazing for putting this out here like I watched this 10 today instead of listening to the actual track, thank you so much mike! 😊
Cool. I'd really recommend using these videos in conjunction with look at the book and using the Trinity backing tracks too :) Thanks for watching man and glad you dug :)
Hi, thanks for watching! It's convention that when a crash is written at the beginning of a bar of groove, and then repeat marks are used, that the crash won't be repeated in the subsequent bars. Cheers!
Hey Bro! I'm practising for my exam with this song and I want to know where you got the backing track. As the one I have found has an extra guitar solo in it. Thanks mate!
Hi, thanks for watching! The backing track comes as a free download with the grade book. See this vid: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Que28sAgDHU.html Cheers man!
Practice! Keep goin g man you'll get it. Lots of variety in the rhythm figures on the fills here, make sure you're on top of your reading/note values knowledge! Thanks for watching and good luck man :)
I'm doing are you gonna go my way, dancing in the moonlight and London calling. You could try these because I think their the easiest and most enjoyable 🙌👍
I'd say they're all around the same level of difficulty, that's why they're all in the book at this grade. Top tip: learn and play ALL the songs at your grade, don't just pick three to perform. They each have some cool skill to assimilate into your playing! Cheers man :)
Thank you so much it makes perfect sense now I've just never had to do something like that but when you did it everything became clear , again THANK YOU

These are video demos for the arrangements of the songs that appear in the Trinity Rock and Pop Grade 3 drums syllabus, recorded as a reference for students preparing for their drum exams. They're not copies of the original songs and the arrangements are often different from the original songs.
