I agree, for me it's not about who can do the wildest growls, but what sounds good and again, for me, Jinjer just has everything: the wonderful haunting chords in their compositions, complexity mixed with groove, heaviness mixed with chill, beautiful clean vocals mixed with beautiful growls and most importantly, powerful, meaningful lyrics. Tatiana's growls are incredibly special. Part of it is that her sheer attitude and belief in everything she writes comes through in her performance. Also I think being self taught helped her find her own voice and growling style. A band that probably won't draw as many views on reactions is Ad Infinitum, but if you'd like to see a very attractive black woman with serious growls Melissa Bonny is epic. I just wish she growled more because she's really good at it. For an OMV my favorite is a bit older Marching on Versailles (also a really good bootleg from the Into The Grave festival), while the best official live with growls I know of is Upside Down live in Oberhausen. There's also some from her former band Rage Of Light with Mechanicals and a cover of Amon Amarth's song Twilight of the Thunder God in all growls - both have backing growls from they guy who started the band too.

This band is a gift. Great reaction bud. When I 1st heard them years ago, I was in awe. If you want deeper than Hades Tatiana the ending to "Vortex" or "Home back" will leave you saying wtf. It is low

I get what you're saying, cause you know me, as much as I'm into deathcore, but it's a whole another level of enjoyment when women growl. Alissa from Arch Enemy too, who you gotta look into. And i highly recommend 'Jinjer Who's Gonna Be The One live Napalm Records'. She shows off even more of her range (stylistically) in this one.

She's like a master painter with all the colors on her palette. All the brush techniques at her disposal. Courtney is my other favorite. But I listen to Jinjer every day. They're on a different level from any other band. Bro. Jinjer is gonna be in the UK in November. You know what that means. They're"opening" for Sepultura, but I hear it's actually a co-headlining deal. Friday 11/8 at Manchester Academy. Tuesday 11/12 at Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith and Fulham. You must see Jinjer live, my brotha! You won't be the same after.

I’ve seen 100’s of shows, different bands, different genres, Tatiana has the best stage presence I have ever seen, I don’t know what it is, she’s beautiful of course, but it’s something else, I can’t figure it out, commands total respect like she is the queen
Great Reaction! You have hit on an ongoing discussion with Tatiana vs Courtney. Honestly they are both amazing but I personally love the technical nature and balance in Jinjer songs. They are very dynamically, instrumentally, and lyrically complex. They have less mass appeal than Spiritbox, but both these bands are great. And just think, that was the last song of their set. Tati is gassed at the end. Can't wait to see more. They have hip-hop and reggae infused songs too
