This video spoke to me 100% Two years paper trading FULL time. I just hit two years trading with real money. Scalling up is the scariest part of this journey IMO. I want to make more money, but the larger the size the harder it is to hold through all the noise. Vince another great video! One point to add, along with correct entry is the contract.. should be at or near the money.. too far out and too short time and the underlying asset needs to move a great deal further to get into profit! Some new traders buy cheaper contracts for "comfort" and lose even though the underlying moves in the correct direction.
when you talk about the 20% stop loss, what do you suggest on contracts, weekly's two weeks out etc. Its very different if you take a weekly compared to a monthly contract, when it comes to risk and reward. Just wondering what you do in this instance? Plus the longer out contracts cost more as well. Thanks for all the great info!!

Absolutely beautiful. This video in addition to what the messsage is...to me was a bit more for entry points and how to proper calculate the stop loss, where/when, enter/exit...and overall management of the trade, I've sort of had and idea of scaling up and this video completely confirmed it for me. The mindset is the same just size increase to help the growth along!!! However, I'm not ready to scale up as I lack good entry points and proper risk, need to be real to myself.... nonetheless, Absolutely amaizing video man, Thanks Desi!
Awesome video! I'm trading props and have never thought about the trade size and loss limit relative to the account size. I believe that this concept can work with props too.

Hey Vince, do you market out of your options trades? I tried marketing out with webull and it rejected me because of volatility, ended up holding then lost money. It seems like you use IBKR for your trades... in your experience, what's the best way to go in and out of options positions?

Oh man this resonates with me. Im not, it’s frustrating. 2 years and its always doing the opposite of what i want. Or either get out to early and then it skyrockets 🚀or dont and meet the falling 🔪. This is my life story, i only continue because I love it .
Stop messing around zoom out to 5000 tick m5 MNQ MNG 7am EST time. Wait for the set ups risk 1% per trade. Don't be paper handing shit. Take partials let the runners run the strategy. No DCA ❤
Great video! I feel like I am in a predicament, I want to risk as little as possible to learn while losing the least amount so I usually go for SPY/QQQ options with a 0.2 delta which cost about .50 cents per contract and I get 2 of them. When I do this I feel when the trade doesn't go my way I easily lose over 30% really quick (still having decent entries/sometimes the same as yours but my % loss is a lot higher) and you said my losses should be around 20-30% but mine is usually higher in a regular basis. I want to get closer in the money contracts to not have my options contract be garbage but then if I do, I am risking a lot more. If anyone can give me suggestions that would be helpful :)
Those far OTM contracts are difficult to manage with the low delta. If you have a good entry & proper stop, you would be risking less with a closer to the money contract % wise. I would recommend trying to trade closer to the money.
Save your money until and practice your strategy on sim until you can afford ITM options, preferably .70-.80 delta but .65 is fine too…I was in your shoes, I feel you..but leave the cheap OTM options to WSB…and buy time as much as you can, no weekly options
My only issue with your thesis is that option contracts can easily get to 30% loss even when a trade is still valid based on levels…I mean drawdown will occur even on a good entry
