I really don't think they intended to make Cartman look innocent. Honestly, this is pretty accurate to his character. They showed off both some of his positives AND some of his negatives- if you don't know the full story enough to know that he's a little dipshit, that's on you. Lol

He needs to be utterly alone in order to grow, we learn this from the COVID episodes (and, honestly, I feel he would've had a happy end if he broke off from the group alone, while Kenny, Stan, and Kyle all stayed together). It's not his friends fault, it's his psychological problems he suffers from and needing any and all attention when it's within his grasp. I hope you're not entirely referring to the canon version of Cartman. Because, while Matt and Trey sometimes portray him to be a complex character, they are also really inconsistent about his portrayal. There's no way to accurately analyze the true depth of his character, and besides that, he's an absolute monster of a child. And even if he is 'just a child', he's a fictional one that you'd never actually find in the real world. And if you did, they'd either be in juvie/jail or intense psychological therapy. I don't know if this was against people who baselessly hate on Cartman and sometimes mis-characterize him or not, but so what? It's kind of deserved? And he's a fictional character. I feel like this video is more accurate to fanon Cartman than his actual canon self. Coming from someone who's actually a pretty damn big fan of the 'bastard boy' themselves.

I feel like he doesn’t get enough attention at home and is trying to get attention anyway else. And it works. But he’s lonely. But he’s gone this long like this that because of his natural pride but also fear, he can’t go back. He’s unsure tho and still trying to find his place, just in a really extreme way. But he’s still like 8 years old so that’s understandable. He’s basically that, but turned up to 100%.

As someone with many mental health issues and is studying psychology, youre right. However some people have natural and genetic deposition to developing personality disorders like narcissistic ones. We can say this stuff about people like Jeffery dahmer and ted bundy who had many psychological issues due to abuse but also genetics. Cluster B personality, which almost sounds like what Eric has is not abled to be cured and hardly manageable at best, unfortunately. His mental health doesnt excuse behavior but I agree with the whole “get him help” stuff. Rehabilitation over retribution. Cluster B personality disorder includes: Anti social, narcassistic, borderline, and histrionic personality disorders. All of which cartman shows heavy signs of. Unlike mood disorders or psychosis, personality disorders are essentially what its called. Personality. They are deep rooted and cant be cured. Medication can only help a little and cluster B requires intense treatment to get to a level of healthy living.

Ну, по факту Эрик не толстый, а пухлый. На официальном сайте сп вики написано, что он весит примерно на 7 кг больше, чем Кайл (у которого средние показатели веса и роста среди сверстников). Рост у них тоже почти одинаковый. Даже если учитывать, что они дети и для их возраста разница в 7 кг больше чем для подростков/взрослых, внешняя разница все равно не будет колоссальной.

@@evilthorn2540 Дело в том, что они маленькие дети и они в целом весят не так уж и много(в плане сколько в них в целом помещается относительно роста), поэтому визуально это все еще может быть довольно заметно. Считается не только вес, но и рост, а это важный показатель в данном контексте

(сори ток проснулась) У меня есть другой аргумент, это мультфильм в котором внешние отличия, так сказать дизайн, должен говорить вместо текста. Я все еще считаю, что даже в реале отличия будут явно заметны, но очевидно, что в саус парке было сильное приувелечение для комичного эффекта. Однако образ мульта запомнился больше, чем цифра, написанная в вики, которую никто почти не открывает. Вспоминая все рисунки с худым картманом, дело не в том что "ууу это не канон он же толстый" и тд. Теряется часть его характера, которая выражается через дизайн. Худой картман просто перестает быть картманом, так как его приувеличенный образ очень крепко цепляется за самого персонажа. Короче вперед толстый картман!!!!!! Или хотя бы пухленький на худой конец (поняли да??? Вот это я смешной) П. С. Honestly, fair. My Cartman is full of headcanons so its not intended to be the CANON video or something, so i get you! I understand you didn't mean anything bad to people who love him and thats ok to hate him too. (look at me, i want him to be thrown in blender and i want him to be happy at the same time) I think i wanted to make Cartman's POV with unreliable narrator effect. Like how he would see all of it from his shifted perspective. I hope you dont think i tried to make him look good in someones eyes, hes a little shit haha BUT i would like to notice that Cartman's character is something that was made by everything around him. You cant really deny that a lot of aspects of his personality was due to the surroundings and also his friends (the first season is actually a big bully session for cartman lmao). THAT DOESNT MAKE HIM GOOD OR ANYTHING. That's just how it is. Evil is not born, it is taught. also i just want to say that i respect any interpritation of cartman, soooooooo i dont see any problem with me liking some comments with their thoughts :D

@@komiPacket I was definitely not expecting a response, but I loved it anyways. It's the kind of thoughtful response I always look for that reasonably pushes back on some of what I was saying! I will admit, he got a lot of shit and was bullied rather frequently in season one, but I also think a good thing to note is how inconsistent Matt and Trey can be when writing their characters. This is personally why I don't tend to see Cartman's Evil as being 'taught' as well as him just being a fictional character, so inconsistencies and inaccuracies to how an actual person would turn out in these types of situations are bound to happen. Though, that being said, I also 100% respect that interpretation and that lens people frequently tend to view Cartman through. I even agree to an extent, it just sometimes feels like others are putting the blame on the other three kids for his atrocious behavior, even if that's not what people mean when saying that. I know it's mostly on my part that I feel that way, if that makes sense? Wording is hard sometimes 😅 To be honest with you, that part of my comment about getting irritated about you liking that one, it was a very personal and flawed (but human) gripe I had, and the feeling had gone rather quickly once I engaged with the comment myself. I should've edited that part out, but I didn't. I try to keep my personal feelings out of these kinds of things, especially when engaging with someone in a debating way, cause it only weakens your argument or points, but it happens sometimes, and I'm glad you mentioned it! The 'liking people's comments', I mean. And being respectful in general. I'm glad I had a chance to talk to you. That you engaged with me. Thank you! I still really loved your video, by the way. Despite what I said, it does give a very *strong* Cartman vibe and is very in line with his character in a way I really did like.
