Good idea, with resetting everything to session view, i actually did run myself in a similar situation, had 100 tracks in my project, renderd stems (grouping) down to 5 tracks, then generated again on the stems, but slicing back to session, is even better, thank you! (i make dark prog, lots of one shots needed for that :), so a high track count, is done also for this.
I bounce all those one shot sounds into three stems. I like it when the project looks clean and isn't too full. But yeah those can easily add up to a lot of channels.
Very good, informative video. Thanks^^. I usually start by choosing a sample wich defines my root note and name for the track. Then I start to design the main groove. After that I hit randomize on a few plugins and record everything interesting. Once I have a few of these processed effects, I listen to the mix and think of what kind of sound or element could be next. and ths, I create the track from left to right. Often, I get just a gut feeling for when the track should come to en end.
