Thanks for making this vid. Your example also hit on my exact insecurity. I just turned 30, working as a Cyber Security Analyst currently, but I am interested in jumping into Quant Trading. This video was helpful, also provided a little hopium lol.
@@aliceryan7053 so by the time you graduate and look after a full time position you'll be on your mid to late 20's. wouldn't that make you undesirable candidate over 20 year old with internships and all?
@@recursion. It depends on the perspective of the person making the hire decision. I'm sure there are people who only want to hire young people with limited real world experience outside of the college bubble. I'm sure there are people who would prefer to hire the person who has a lot more real world experience working with actual humans than some new grad who only has had two internships and the college experience. I would recommend watching the video tbh if you're of that opinion.
Hello, I remember in one of your older videos titled "How to break into quant trading (as a trader)" you stated that "If you're 45 you're not going to be a junior trader I'm sorry." This video made me curious as to if your opinion on this has changed, or if you still hold the belief that there is a solid age cutoff. Thanks for all the informative videos!
Hey man, quick question, what are your thoughts on independent quants? it seems less stressful and I’m honestly not too greedy in how I scale my money?
JC... GPT has made my life easier with mql4 coding at the prompt of a command when I upload scripts that give it a template to work from🙏Can't describe how much it has helped me👀 Btw CJ, full body workout recommendation I gave on a prior video is legit - a guy on RU-vid said the more surface area in muscle that is trained the bigger the testosterone response is - guess it explains why the best bodybuilders always recommended going heavy on compound lifts👌🚀📈 💪
@@dtoor1412 well I assumed you want to do quant research, trading or development. You don’t need an electrical engineering degree to think of, implement or execute low latency strategies. However if you want to work on the hardware side, yeah get an electrical engineering degree.
