Came to RU-vid to find the best way to cut a laminate countertop with the only power tool I currently own - a jigsaw. Found Leah's channel and this video was so well done I liked and subscribed during the tutorial! Great job, Leah! Straight, to-the-point, and short but descriptive video. Keep up the great work! ❤🪚🪵🔨🧰🔥🔥🔥😎👍

One thing I found on cutting laminate: Laminate blades give you a cleaner cut when cutting from the top, otherwise either cut through masking tape or cut it form the back (The teeth will then rip into the up side from below). But one thing I would recommend for cutting laminate, get a whole bunch of blades. Laminate will dull blades faster than you can say Laminate and Jigsaw three times in a row.

I have the same jigsaw since 1995, and I have never put much attention to the blade I was using, as long as I felt the cut going smooth. I only used it occasionally to fix something at home, but have recently started to take on woodworking as a hobby, and realized I have to pay attention to those things. Thanks for a very simple and complete explanation!
