That is such a nice way to say it! "It can drastically improve your matcha" is so much nicer than saying that someone is doing it wrong. I know it's the internet and everyone has to have thick skin, but I love it when people are actually nice to each other, and I'm going to try to figure out how to say things like this when I'm helping people learn a new skill. And the matcha looks lovely, too!

Someone also mentioned that you need to soak the wisk in warm water first so that it'll expand?

Yes, this is true, you should soak it in hot water first. This will allow the bamboo to absorb some of the water making the whisk more flexible. You should also clean your whisk right after you whisk your matcha and let it dry on a whisk stand so it does not grow mold and each section of "whisk" portion can dry quicker.

i never know how much water to use with how many spoons of matcha, is there something like a rule of thumb by any chance?

My go to iced matcha recipie is: 1/8-1/4 cup hot water w/ 1 tsp of matcha and a tiny bit of honey wisked together. Then add it to a mason jar amount of non dairy milk w/ice

Is it okay to Whisk your Matcha with liquid sweetener? Or does it prevent the good effects of the Matcha?

It doesn’t prevent the good effects at all 😊 but as said above, you would want to mix your sweetener in after, you don’t want to get sugar on your whisk over and over. It’ll mold fast

Thank you. The question came to mind because she explained in another video that the milk molecules can prevent the good effects if the matcha is not whisked. So I wondered if honey/Agave would to the same if it's whisked in first
